has now reached the highest it has been in fifteen years, it is now at 7.1%. I am on unemployment now, and New Jersey has already sent out letters that there will be another extension, because the job market is so bad, and unemployment is so high.
What are the stats where you live, are jobs plentiful or as scarce as they are here in New Jersey?

Hi sudalunts,Too bad about the job market in your area,New Jersey,It's probably no concelation at all but i live in Manchester,England and things are really bad over here too,It's a constant stream of job losses now,Every day on the news there is another mass loss of jobs,In all industries and areas of employment.Unemployment in the UK is about to top the £2 nillion mark,The highest levels for 10-15 years,Ans the trend is expected to continue for some time,It's pretty grim.

Jobs are really scarce down here in middle GA. Unless you are an aircraft engineer or a doctor you can expect to be unemployed for quite some time. I am i na bad spot because I can't really afford to take a minimum wage job either....I wouldn't be able to afford daycare along with my other bills. I am thinking of moving to Texas after I get my certification. they are building another medical complex in San Antonio, so I may be able to get a job there.

That is one of my problems too, the available jobs are not paying enough. Actually, the unemployment I am receiving is not enough, two weeks of benefits are not even enough to pay my rent, I need a job that is paying more than what I am receiving from unemployment. I would need to work at least three minimum wage jobs in order to make ends meet.
