I love to travel. I haven't been anywhere in a while, but I have seen the world. I loved Italy. The north was great. The south was a bit harder because people couldn't understand why I'm still single and live alone. It was still interesting and fun.
Australia was awesome. They have a backpacker bus that goes up and down the cost to all the youth hostels. You could get on and off anywhere for a few months for one charge. They would even wait to make sure you could get a bed. It was by far the best way to get around cheep. It seems they really want all the young tourists to visit. I did it when I was in my 20's. The barrier reef was spectacular.
Where have you been and what did you like about it?

I've only been to Montreal in Canada. It was really cold. Mexico is great everywhere. I've been there many times.

I haven't done Yellowstone yet. I went to Yosemite a few times when I lived in San Francisco. You must have a car for Yosemite. There isn't good transportation around the valley. With a car you can see a lot.

I have not been to many places at all. I would have to say that Florida was the friendliest though.

Oh CatLady, I so envy you for being able to travel. That has to be one of the best experiences life has to offer. So much to see and learn.
I've only been to a few places, but the one I liked alot was Toronto, Canada and Montreal. They just seem to be so clean and everyone was very friendly. I loved it.
I wish I could go through your photo albums and just look at everything. What a pleasure that would be.
I've always wanted to go see the Redwood Forest in California. I know, out of all the places in the world I pick that, haha. I just would love to see those old ancient tree's living in such a beautiful place amongst the animals and wildlife there. I find it amazing that they are so huge, so old, and I wonder what they would say if they could talk.

Traveling is great. I love meeting new people, trying new foods and experiencing new cultures. SOme places have better food than others. I like Mediterranean foods. I don't like foods from cold climates.

Australia is easy to get around. They have great public transportation. You can also buy a car from a traveler, use it for a few months and sell it to another traveler for almost as much as you paid. OK, the cars are beat up pieces of garbage that the locals don't want, but they run. I did Australia on the backpackers bus. You could probably work as a barman in Australia. They are fairly lenient in giving temporary work visas to people from English speaking countries.
The US is expensive. I lived there for 30+ years. You can get around New York and San Fransisco with a car. If you go to LA or many places you must rent a car.
I've been wanting to go to Cuba. Americans aren't supposed to go because it's a communist state. It's done, but not by direct flight. I now have an Israeli passport and I can go if I can afford it.

Other than Canada for a couple of hours I have not been out of my own country. But I think the friendliest place that we have been is actually Maryland. Everybody there was so sweet. At the hotel we stayed in the people were so nice thay all called us baby, It was so cute you would see them in the hallway or in the breakfast room, and they would say, "Hey baby, How you doing today?" They were so sweet and nice, I actually cried when we checked out and left, and they gave us big hugs and everything.

The people in the small towns up in the north east are all really nice. I went to Greenwood Lake in New York to visit family and everyone was so sweet.
