Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand has been picked by Governor Paterson to fill Hillary Clinton's Senate seat. Now someone will have to replace her in the House. What do you think? http://home.peoplepc.com/psp/newsstory.asp?cat=TopStories&referrer=welcome&id=20090123/49795ce0_3ca6_1552620090123-855751543

I think it's interesting that a pro 2nd Amendment Representative was named. Of course the left will forgive her for that since the only criteria a woman needs to be acceptable by the left is to be pro abortion. According to the US Constitution, the Speaker of the House will issue a "writ of election". The people of the 20th Congressional District will have a special election.

Keep your political buzz words to yourself. Pro Choice is as meaningless as Pro Life.. You are either for abortion on demand or you are against it. You say no one is "pro abortion" tell that to the 14 year olds I had as patients in my ambulance who had already had 4 or 5 abortions. Abortion was their chosen form of birth control because "the pill costs money", but abortion is free.

I see that she was involved with Clinton's Administration as Special Counsel to the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Andrew Cuomo. She is another lawyer turned politician from a political family - nothing new - more of the same.

I had not heard anything about this lately. Thanks for sharing this with us. I thought she was supposed to take some kind of position under Obama?
