What was the first food you cooked for the first time? |
|
I would like to have answers from male too.
I have cooked chapaties and vegs of potato and I must tell you that it was....... ... .... very bad in taste. It was that bad that I don't want to remember it but the experience was awesome.
Now, I am an average cook who can cook for his needs but when it comes to family, my mom is the best. Even my father cooks good too!!
So, share your experience with me. How was your first experience.

2. thinkingoutloud (2465) | 1 year ago | When I was young, my grandmother would let me make small things when I went to visit her... I was so proud when I could make her dinner of fish sticks, rice and vegetables LOL! She also taught me how to make bread pudding, custard and other simple desserts. When I took home economics in school, I made my first homemade pizzas for my parents and my sister... crust and all from scratch. My dad was so pleased with me:D I think cooking is certainly that everyone needs to learn - male or female. It's also nice to learn young!

3. Khayam (202) | 1 year ago | Allow me to smile in a very subtle way. Although your dish had a bad taste, you were able to call it a dish. In my case, the first food cooked in my life was a nice burned meat stew (initially it should have been a soup, but eventually evolved into a stew after i mixed up the ingredients from 2 different recipes in a cooking book). However, the deep black-dark blue colour of my masterpiece triggered an instantaneous lack of appetite, so I can't share any oppinions on its taste.;-) Cya around

sanuanu (3950) | 1 year ago | I never tried this in my house because my mom is a vegetarian but one other dish with egg which is made by using raw egg's yolk by frying it on frying pan, I can't recall the name right now, is the most difficult dish, I have ever seen in my life for cooking. I have not seen many people cooking it with perfection.

5. gicolet (773) | 1 year ago | The first food I ever cooked was rice. Steamed it more likely but it wasn't that easy. It came out too dry the first time and too soft the second. I was like 12-13 yrs old that time. After I mastered cooking the rice I started cooking the easy ones - eggs (fried, boiled, poached, scrambled...you name it). I messed up big time with all other foods I tried to cook then. I really just learned how to cook after i got married. I guess it's a matter of responsibility for the family:)

sanuanu (3950) | 1 year ago | Rice is the easiest food to start with. Even if it look easy but it is not. You need to estimate the correct amount of water into it, isn't it? My mom is the best in cooking, I feel. She started cooking at the age of only 9! She is a master. What is "scrambled" egg?

sanuanu (3950) | 1 year ago | Only at 5! You are really brave because I used to be scared of fire at that age. I burned my right hand with a plastic at the age of 7. After that I was very scared and till date I am afraid of fire!
