I liked both of them when they used actual history and actual historical events into the storyline.

I was amazed that the first Nat'l T use that "clue" on the back of the $100 bill where the hands on the clock of Independence Hall were at 2:22 and then the one guy menetioned about the change of daylight savings time for them to get the right time to see the sun make the clue. That was amazing that they figured out that to use! I know I found the first $100 bill I could find and got out my magnifing glass and sure enough .. there it was!

The second one was good and used some great things in history and all, but they put an over abundance of time span into just 1,1/2 hours. I mean, he went from USA to England and did whatever to get in to see the Queen's desk )making it seem so simple and easy to gain access) , and the very next scene he was back in DC trying to do the same to the presidents desk, and the next scene he was climbing Mt Rushmore. They didn't play up the clues as well as they did in the first one and to me that was where the fun was.

I think Indiana - well, I only like the first one. The others were just to far out to hardly even be believable - to much action and those surviving said to much action without hardly a scratch and just so over done with the phoney action scenes. But the first one was just about right in the action to be believable and enjoyable. The others were just to far out there. I heard the last one was something to do with UFO's and aliens...sorry, just not Indy stuff.

I only saw one National Treasure and that was because Nicholas Cage is one of my favorite actors. I did enjoy it. I think they made too many sequels to Indiana Jones.

That's a hard choice to make. I've loved Indiana Jones since I was a little kid, but as a writer, I feel like National Treasure was better written. So it depends on what mood I'm in, truly.

Definately Indiana Jones. It is a classic and Harrison Ford is a great actor and plays the character so well. I did like both the National Treasure movies and also think Nic Cage is a great actor, but for me Indiana Jones will always win, because its always been one of my favourites since I was a kid.

Wow! Good choices! I like both series quite a bit.

I think that Raiders of the Lost Ark will always have a special place for me. It was one of the best movies I have seen. I think that Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom had a little too much of the 'milking the cash cow' feel to it. It was good, and I still enjoy watching it, but it was a little too...silly...at some points. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was a return to the quality of the first one. It was done really well and the addition of Sean Connery added quite a bit of quality to the cast. Honestly, I watched the fourth one, but I fell asleep in the middle of it...twice. Granted, I WAS very tired at the time (both times), but I can't really give a positive review as I don't really recall most of it.

National Treasure was a surprise for me. I am not a huge Nicholas Cage fan, but he was really good in it. His little neurotic quirks played really well for this character. I really liked both movies. The sequel didn't fall off like a lot sequels seem to. The interaction between Riley and Gates is fantastic. Really good movies on so many levels.

I would rank them in this order:
1. Raiders of the Lost Ark
2. National Treasure
3. Book of Secrets
4. Last Crusade
5. Temple of Doom
not ranked: Crystal Skull

if indiana jones 4 didn't come out i would love to say that i like indiana jones better than book of secrets. indiana jones became an icon, put archeology in the map!

however i was disspointed in crystal skulls. like "what another alien movie?" it's like steven spielberg again attesting to the world that he is into scientology. enough already! i just wished they tackled the garden of eden or something biblical as with the first and the 3rd movie. that would have been cool.
