Has your partner ever done anything that embarrassed you in public?

When I was a child My grandfather was the constant prankster. He was always doing things to embarrass my grandmother and she would be furious for a while. I have also known couples to be out and one of them have to much to drink. The louder the drunk one gets the redder their partner.lol So what about you? Have you ever been embarrassed by your partner or embarrassed them? I'd love to hear some good stories.

When we were teens and had just started dating my husband would do things to embarrass me on purpose.. We would go shopping at the K-Mart store in our neighborhood and before we left the store, I would hear alarm clocks going off, bunches of them.. He would be next to me looking like the cat that ate the canary, smiling so innocently but I knew, he was the one that set them to go off at the same time.. I told him that I would never go shopping with him again if he didn't quit playing around but sure enough, the next time we went, I heard the clocks again.. He only done it a couple of time, the first time was for fun but the second was to let me know that he wasn't evening going to listen to my threats.. Anyway, we have been shopping for 43 years now, so I put up with him and his silly ways..

Hey Donna! Sounds like that hubby of yours keeps you on your toes..lol..but I know you keep him on his too..turning his ring for mischief. Sounds like you both are alot of fun and have a lot of fun. I don't know what I would do if all the alarm clocks started going off and there I was in the middle of them. I wouldlike toknow what someone that witnessed this thought and if they tried it too. LOL I would have never thought of that. Maybe my b/f will be in for a treat the next time we go to Kmart. Thanks for the great story!

I had forgotten about telling the "Ring" part, but I do still on occasion, and when I pass his dresser after he is asleep, turn the eagle upside down, It makes him crazy..

I refrain from doing anything in public, which would embarrass my partner. I do not feel like playing pranks or jokes with my partner, at public place. If I have to play a prank, I'd rather do it my home and in private. I just do not want to hurt anybody's emotions. Likewise, I won't appreciate if I am ridiculed in public by my partner. Normally, she does not do like it.

Yes, and it drove me nuts, but I used to take it. I take it no more and let him have it and am very good at embarrassing him more. He knows that so he backs off these days.

I can't really remember anything that my wife as done that embarrassed me in public. She is really thoughtful and considerate, so I'd really be surprised if she were to do something off the wall, that would embarrass me. I'm not easily offended, so it would have to be something really huge, and that she would have to have done it on purpose, before I would get upset. I've been upset with her before, but my anger doesn't last long (and it's not because we are kissing to make up either.) I just don't hold on to anger as I've found it to be a form of stress. So why do that to myself?

I agree. My grandparents told me I should never go to bed mad at my partner if I wanted my future marraige to work. I don't hold a grudge either. Thanks for the response.

Our group of friends always has a New Year's Eve party. The whole group tends to come up with unusual things. One year, one of the group gave me an ice cube maker for X-mas. This cube maker came from the naughty kind of store, so you can guess what appendage it resembled. Ahem. Anhoo, I washed it and began making ahem-shaped ice "cubes." I made quite a few by New Year's. Brought them over in an ice cream bucket. Us girls made our guys drinks, being the sweet little things we are. We delivered the drinks where they were having their guy talk, and left. It took a few minutes before someone took a sip. Someone yelled, there was a furious spate of talking, and the guys trooped in to give us a piece of their mind. (Poor choice of words there, perhaps...) But it was ruined by the fact that they were laughing so hard, the shaking fingers really weren't that frightening. The appendages managed to get to placed that were unexpected. At various times through the night, a guy would disappear and an ice "cube" would be found frozen to a car or truck hood, jauntily pointed upwards. Most of the cars were anointed before the end of the party.

LOL!!! That is a great story! I can just imagine those little dudes stuck all over the hoods of the cars..LOL..I would have loved to have seen when the guys realized what they were. Especially if there was an ice eater among them and someone else realized it....LOL..Thank you!

My hubby has never embarrassed me in front of the public..he isn't the loud type of person who is going to shout at me when he's pissed off.. yeah, we argue at times but we are always discreet about our real feelings.. we try to control our emotions and temper.. when we have a misunderstanding, we try to talk about it at home..

Hi gracie! that's the way I like it. Handle things quietly and at home. I am a private person and I don't want everyone to know everything about me. Especially not any drama. I like things to be light and comfortable. I feel like if my partner is mad at me..that's fine..get me behind closed doors and blast me out..but not in front of others. Thanks for your response.

Well that 1 time when we had a little to much to drink and I try to hold on to him walking home. He's pretty big and started to fall down and I couldn't hold him so we both went down on the ground. That was embarrassing. People thought I was drunk too. . That was years ago and so far so good.

I do not remember my husband doing anything like that to me, and I am very careful too. But one case with my former colleague will stay in my memory. In front of a bus-load of people, she slapped his husband in the face. The hurt was obvious, which led to divorce in a couple of months. Actually, she was normally a quiet person. Being suppressed for too long is likely to result in anger or even rage, but she should have been able to control consciously to avoid anything sad to occur. Study for years shows taht certain food helps to bring about some chemical substances in brain to improve mood, such as - whole wheat bread before taking protein rich meat or cheese; - a cup of coffee in the morning can help waking up, but more than three cups a day is likely to lead to anxiety; - sufficient water to help energized; coffee or caffein content beverages cannot replace water; - bananas supplement magnesium, to avoid anxiety; - oragnes and grapes, rich in Vit C, also help avoid anxiety, depression, and can improve mood; - pepper produces temporary pleasure; - chocolates help calming down esp for pre period women; - equivalent to 3 ounces of beef a day to avoid lack of iron, which might lead to exhaustion and depresion.

Hey Jen! I have to say that my partner has never embarrassed me! He isn't the type to be loud or do anything stupid in public. He is very straight laced and quiet. If anyone was going to do anything embarrassing it is me! And I know that I have embarrassed him! I take to long in the grocery store and I get angry and nervous and he gets embarrassed when I get like that! In fact he won't go grocery shopping with me anymore!

It happened to me and my first dutch boyfriend. We were home with friends drinking and talking. It was like a little good-bye party for me cause I was going back to Brazil in some days. Then talking one time we didn´t agree in something. I don´t remember what and he said out loud: "f**k you!". I didn´t say a thing. Than after everybody got away I took him and said that next time he did something like that, he talked like that to me I would let him really embarrassed in front of his friends. It was the last time that something like that happened.
