What is the greatest lesson of life?

According to me, to learn to accept the situation which you are in โ is the greatest of all other lessons. Many people, as I have heard, talk about big ideals, items of good advice, suggestions, but also complain about silly things. So, I feel they are all missing the most important lesson of life, called accepting the reality at personal level.

I think to the lesson that every situation brings, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and not always good but there is always a lesson or a reason we should always look for it ..

Hi there Lilac,
I agree with you too, absolutely everything happens for a reason even if we're not absolutely certain what that reason is. There is always a purpose or a less and everything that happens to us in our lives, it is up to us to look for it, learn from it and to do better next time around.
That's just my 2ยข worth and my personal experience as well, happy Mylotting!

Hi there prasanta,
I think that you have said it perfectly. The greatest life lesson any of us can ever learn is to accept where we are at any given moment. Only after we see where we are an truly accept our current circumstances can we then decide if we want to keep things the same or work to change them for the better.
If we can learn to adapt and change to any given circumstance I think that is the greatest skill we can ever learn. We're constantly growing and changing bu unless we're able to ackknowledge where we are and where we want to go can we get on with actually doing it and moving forward throughout our lives.
Perhaps for me personally, the second most important skill that a person can learn is gratitude. If we can learn to be grateful for what we already have in our lives, we will be much happier and appreciative. Instead of focusing on what we do not have or can not afford I believe it is much better to focus on we do have and the things that are going correctly in our lives.
That's just my personal experience, until next time happy Mylotting!

You make some good points. I think we have to be careful about the working for better though. It's normal and natural and fine to want to improve our conditions, but we rarely stop there; desire, for better or worse, quickly becomes yet another distraction from the here and now.

I think you're probably right. If you are mature enough to accept the situation you are in and are able to work through it, then it is a very valuable lesson and if it's a bad situation then hopefully you will learn the lesson well enough not to repeat it.
That's not to say that one shouldn't dream and have goals as I think that is important also it always gives you something to work towards while you are in your current situation and helps push you to achieve greater things. ;)

I think it is to be grateful for what you are, what you have, your family and friends, and your health. You never know when any of these things won't be there any more.

I tend to agree. The here and now is all that's really real. The past is gone and the future doesn't exist yet, and when it does it becomes another "Now". As you said, anything else misses out on the moment and thus, misses the point.

This is our best hope for living a life full of beauty, magick, and love. Our lives will never be perfect, of course, but accepting what really IS can help us avoid a lot of unnecessary discontentedness.

In this world, it's hard to tell who's true and who's not: People may be good at the beginning and be cruel in the end: if you are too trusting, they'll take advantage of you. if they know you're weak, they'll hurt; after loving them, they'll leave you. Never let somebody to be your priority when in fact you're just her option.
