Chris Brown arrested for beating Rihanna!  

I read that they are not sure that Rihanna's non-appearance at the Grammys was linked to this episode. Although it probably is. I don't think they have identified the girl he beat up yet though. I don't think it was her - I hope not. So sad!

I was wondering where she was. I only watched the grammys to see her. I love her song Rehab. I am so sad to hear that this happened and hope that everything works out fine and nothing else bad happens to her.

oh ma god,that's really a bad news for me and for all other rihanna fans.I was very eager to see her on the grammys and it is very hard to hear the news.I had other works in ma college.I am on leave for the only purpose of seeing her dazzling performances but i kept on waiting and she did not perform.Such a talented artist and i never thought this could be the reason behind that.Am a great fan of chris brown too i do not believe that he did the thing to rihanna.It's really a sickening matter that wonderful artists like these people are put off for these kind of situations.I hope nothing happens like this for her in future.

Doesn't make it any better that it was someone else... I'm sure the cops will get to the bottom of it all. What I do not like about the above report is that they bring in the fact that his dad used to hit his mum but trust the press to go down that road...

i heard of the news when i was listening to the Grammy on radio.but the news didn't
infere that the girl who was beaten by Chris Brown was Rihanna.It only said Rihanna was non-appearance because Chris was involved in the crime.
If the girl was Rihanna ,can't imagine ...omg ,that's too sad...i love both of them

geez... this story is sick.. i have been a fan of both of them, i hope this isnt true at all. until we heard from the guys we should just keep silent and observe what will happen next. hope both of them are ok.. anyway thanks for the article and this discussion.

Well that was very sad to here. I thought Chris Brown was one of the good guys. I'm not jumping to dis him so fast, because sometimes "these women" causes on themselves. She might of just kept pushing him and pushing until he snapped. Remember the movie "The Family that Preys Together"she pushed him. On the other hand he could be a beater. Its just a real shame.

There are always two sides to every story. I don't know who either of the parties are, nor do I care to because they sound Afro and I'm not into R&B, unless it is Marvin Gaye or Aretha Franklin. That dates me, now doesn't it. Marvin was shot and killed by his own father, and I've heard about all I need to about that incident. Take that back, I am into more than Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin. I'm also into Patti LaBelle, The Spinners, The Platters, Charlie Pride, Ray Charles, and Chris Rock. Yikes! Chris Rock is not a musician, but he's very funny. I was into Richard Pryor before him. And Fred Sanford. As well as his TV son. Back to two sides to every story: don't judge people because each makes a claim, but the facts are what count. People are people, and women are as prone to lying as men. What if Rhianna, whoever that is, slapped him and he responded as anyone who is attacked would do? No, men shouldn't hit women, but the fact of it is that men suffer abuse the same as women.
So, let the California judge decide, or the jury if they are of a mind to have a jury decide. It's not a matter of onlookers, it's a matter of law, and the courts. Too often, we, as the new media, try to make these decisions for them, and yet we are no more qualified than Hermit the Frog. Los Angeles is a municipality, California is a state. They are the final arbitrators of any dispute involving violence. Or whatever county they are in. Not the media, though sometimes you would think otherwise...
