You go through a drive thru and get a burger and fries, or salad and parfait, depending on your choice... and they person at the drive thru gives you a handful of napkins with your meal, you only need one or two, but you have say 20... do you keep them or throw them out? same with the sauces, or ketchups... you get 10 packets of ketchup or ranch with your fries or chicken nuggets.. do you save the extra and use them later or do you throw them away?....LOL, I save them all...I use the napkins at dinner at home, saves on paper towels and the wash if you use real napkins...and I have about 30 ketchup packs in my fridge, along with bbq sauch, hot mustard, and ranch...LOL what do you do?

hi bookreadermom08...i have a baggie that i put them in. i try not to keep them more than a few months so i label the baggie with a months name on it. i decided to rotate the packages of ketchup after one day i opened one up and it was more brown than red. i threw out the old and now just keep them up to 3 months. i have even thrown away new ones just so as to not have the hassle. we have been making use of the ones i keep so it was worth having around. i especially keep the taco sauce packages cause sometimes i don't get them with my order and i really miss it when i don't have the taco sauce.

i save them all too. cause those things are very useful. like when i find myself out of condiments cause i failed to check which things i need to buy in the groceries, i don't worry cause i know i have lots of stocks in my fridge. i don't get to use them cause i make sure that i use them only for those times i forgot to buy ketchup. but i usually use those condiments that i bought on groceries. and also i do also love using those packets of condiments when i need to use condiments any where else like when i go to school and need to bring my own food at school, i do need to bring a packet and i don't don't want to put some on plastic or container. i rather have them in packs so that it will not spill on my bag.

We are frugal by nature so we keep everything and anything from fast food places. My husband takes his lunch when he's on days and dinner when he's on nights so those things come in handy. He can't stand a soggy piece of bread from the mayo that's been on it for 4 or 5 hours. So i just throw in a packet of it and the he can put that on when he's ready to eat. The napkins we keep in the car and truck for accidents or when you just need it for something.

that is so funny you said that, my hubby just asked me last night what restaurants give out the mayo packets because that is what he wants to do... so we need to get more of those packets....LOL and yes, I have a bunch of napkins and baby wipes in the car... with kids..these are a necessity!!! LOL thanks for responding.

We stock up on the mayo at Chick-fil-A. We go in to order and while we are on our way out we put a few extra mayo's in the bag for later use, lol.

My parents do. They are hoarders of the worst kind, they can't throw anything away. A drawer in their fridge was full to bursting with ketchup, relish, mustard, syrup packets, etc. I finally convinced them that the stuff had to go. I think some of those packets were years old lol. We do save the napkins and straws. My parents have already started filling the drawer again...

I save them of course, who in their right minds would want to throw away perfectly good sauce sachets and paper napkins! At home I can afford to buy only about one or two variety of ketchup so these sachets of different flavours and also chilli flakes and oregano flakes, add a special touch to many dishes at home. Also the paper napkins are just great on picnics and such.

I always save my napkins, but I rarely get and sauces at all. Once in a while I will get ranch with my son's chicken and if there is actually any extra I will keep it. My son actually prefers to use the packets over a bottle.

oh that is not a bad idea, as you are probably saving money with the extra packets over the bottle...LOL I use to always say no sauce, but then I decided hubby always uses them on something, so now I always get a sauce with everything.

...not here, we use them... it is sad when we get low on the packets, my hubby will use ketchup on everything and when we get low I can always count on the packets, but when those get low I get nervous...LOL thanks for responding.!

No, I don't usually save the extras unless i'm at work. Then I figure someone might neeed and use them eventually. My sister however was a big saver. It didn't matter if anyone actulally wanted ketchup for their fries, or not, she would ask for extra and then she's throw it in her packet drawer in her kitchen. I think she went for almost 2 years wothout buying ketchup and mustard, lol. Nowadays, though, the fast food places are pretty stingy when it comes to passing out the packets. Or, is it just me?

I think you really have to ask for extra or else they only give you like one packet ...but once in a while you might get someone who throws a bunch in. that is hilarious about your sister. thanks so much for the response.

I always save anything extra I get when I go to a fast food place. Esepcially if we get packets, with a napkin, fork, spoon, and knife. I find they are useful to have when you are going on an all day trip or a picnic. I also keep the sauces, like right now I am currently out of ketchup so I have been using the little packets I have gotten from McD's. I do not see the point in throwing any of it away. It is perfectly good product, it may only save you a few dollars when you are buying new products, but every bit helps.

no I agree, I save them all and use them too... especially when the ketchup is low, or they are perfect if we go to the park and I dont want to carry all the extra condiments, we actually ask for extra packets...LOL thanks for the response.
