Here where I live the winds are up to over 60 miles an hour. The windows are shaking, garbage cans are blowing over etc. Three people have already been killed as the results of falling trees.
Are the winds really damaging where you are?

Where I live, the whole state actually, regularly gets winds as high as 60 miles per hour. The only time I lost trees due to wind was when there was a blizzard with 90 miles per hour winds. But 50 or 60 is pretty common and the winds are one reason that I would like to move but I can't afford it.

Yes, there are really strong on LI. I did not go into the office today, as I did not want to drive in it. But the work I do also can be done at home.

Good thing you were able to work from home. I am supposed to go to choir rehearal tonight, I think I am going to pass.
The winds are expected to continue until 11 tonight.
Be careful and stay safe.

I am scared, a woman was killed on her way to work, when a tree fell on her car. The highway is one that I use regually.
I am supposed to go to choir rehearsal tonight, I am passing on it.
When I went to get the mail, the chairs on the porch were upturned. It is really dangerous out there.

The winds where I am are also really bad. A lot of people in my country have lost their power due to downed powerlines. I have not heard of any deaths though. Luckily, there is no damage in my immediate area. But I did go outside and my neighbors barbecue was upside down, it was pretty funny. I wish anyone else going through these winds luck, and hope they get their power back soon. I heard on the news that some will not get it back for a few days, and even though the weather is okay now, we are supposed to get colder weather soon.
