Digging out of debt when you are using a spoon!

hi silverglint...i've not heard that expression before but it makes sense. i have been working to pay off my debt and like you i'll saved up some money to pay taxes and a car repair eats it up. so i have to save it up again and that takes from the money i wanted to put against my debt. but i have learned to be more careful and i still put something against the debt. so i don't want to give up. i will continue to make progress and look forward to the day when i am debt free. the important thing is to keep at it. i wish you to be debt free too.

I definitely agree!

It feels like every time we start making progress, something pushes us back. We have finally reached the point where we are starting to make a bit of real progress, though, after 4 years of trying. But the car has to go for its brakes and we have taxes due in a few months, so we'll see how this goes.
