are laptops worth the money??  

The price of desktops is really coming down. I saw some under 1000 bucks that had screens bigger and better than televisions I have owned in the past. TYou are still paying for the portability of the lap top but those prices are starting to come down as well.

Ithink it's depend on you, If you use computer whenyou travel it's better to buy a laptop if not, buy desktop so that you can save money.

But For me I wan't to use Laptop so that i can bring it anywhere, so that u can continue my lotting even outside the house.

Anyway I also have an HP Pavillion 4GB RAM ad i'm happy with it, i run a programs that's need more memory and my computer works fine..

I think yes, this is worth money. It is definitly not intened for home users. It is best suited for business purposes. Laptops are portable computer and the best way to use it to use it in a travelling things.

People who need computer while they are on travel or they need to be on a business tour more than often, then one should go for it.

we get desktops very cheap and the price will come down more in the comming days so i hope laptops vendors also will reduce the price of the laptop, we will get laptop even as less than the price of the desktop.
i find Dell is the cheapest laptop with good quality and nice customer support.

It depends, they are only worth the money when you travel alot, or do business on the go. Otherwise don't waste the money on them. Desktops in my personal opinion are the best, and they seem to use the speed that they are given. My personal experience with laptops, Well... Is not that great. I brought an Acer Aspire Laptop for $800, had it for about two months. It was great compared to what I did with it. (Working on my novels- on the go.) (Surfing the web.) Etc... But all I did was close the top on it, lightly one day and the screen cracked straight down the center. I gave up and cut my loss.

For me i think its woth to boy a laptop instead for the desktop. I use my laptop at diffrent places but i can use my desktop in fiz place only. My desktop in the rgoud floor , some time i use there and some time i want to use in my bedroom . And some times i take my laptop with in the traveling so that i can work there also and enjoy there without getting bore.. Well for you you want to use to laptop only at one place then its no worth.

Yes, it is.. i've been using my laptop for so many years and though it's an old school one i don't have plans of replacing it yet.. you know, it's best if you make a meticulous research before buying a particular gadget for yourself.. you need to know the specs/features, advantages and disadvantages, etc.. to avoid future hassles..

Laptops are generally slower and this is because of their form factor. They need to be cooled more and cannot really go with the faster and hotter processors. I still prefer a desktop to a laptop. Cheers!!

Laptops are really useful if you need to bring your work around with you or if you're a student. I'm a programmer and my laptop has been with me for around 3 years already. It's a bit outdated but it still serves it's purpose. I get work done it and I watch movies and other stuff on it. I think if you're not the type who travels a lot and needs to bring work with you around then a laptop is not worth it for you. It would be better to just buy a desktop.

My laptop is still works pretty decently. I'm only running on 512MB of RAM because my motherboard got fried last year but it's still OK. It gets slow when I run a lot of processes but when I'm just browsing or watching something, it's still pretty good.

Laptops are worth the money if you really need them and use them. Mine is worth every penny I spent for it. I really prefer a compact and portable computer with a very huge hard disk space. I am not so into the speed as I don't use my laptop for heavy gaming or so, all I need is the basics.
