OUCH!
Any story that makes the news is subject to having jokes made at their expense. I had to smile at the "no sausage" part, though.
I love collecting unusual brass objects but I won't buy 8 more when I already have enough and don't have the room or the money to afford 8 more! I don't feel bad at all when I read the stories (or jokes) going on about this woman. She deserves every one of them. SHE'S not paying to feed all these children! She's not even working!!!
I feel badly for the children... all 14 of them. NONE of them will get the attention every child deserves and needs. Even if she was married AND had a houseful of servants, not one of those children will get the "me" time from their mother simply because there are too many of them.
Maybe I'm wrong and they'll all do just fine but I think it's wrong. This woman reminds me of a cousin of mine who has collected dolls all her life. The difference is that her dolls sit on shelves and don't need attention, food, clothing, medical care, etc.

I understand what you mean. Initially, I laughed at this joke but it was more of a chuckle and short-lived. I think children are the most precious thing that God gives us and to churn them out like a factory dehumanizes them. Like your cousin, Souleman is a collector and she gives no thought to the needs of her children. I truly believe she is gravely ill and needs mental help as soon as possible. Her IVF doctor should have insisted on that when she asked to have a second IVF treatment. I think he should be responsible for supporting all 14 children. My heart aches for those poor kids.

The last thing I heard was that her IVF doctor is under extreme scrutiny for his practices... and he SHOULD be!
What he did was ethically and morally wrong!

I told it to a friend of mine a couple days ago and had to explain it to her--she never watches the news!
