Oh please do, Book! You'll love it, I just know you will! Messenger is terrific, but not having to type is a blessing beyond compare! And cams with microphones built right in are really pretty inexpensive these days. I got mine at RadioShack for under 30 bucks, which I though was pretty darn good. You can get them cheaper, but the quality isn't as good. I love mine and wouldn't give it up for the world. I used to be quite the dinosaur, but this 21st Century stuff is AMAZING! So get your lil butt to Radio Shack and check out the cams! I'm sure you'll find one that suits you. And you'll have so much fun being able to not only hear, but SEE your friends! Think about it. Irish, I don't know that it loaded any crap into my computer. If it did, I sure don't know about it, and haven't had any problems at all. For me, it's a joyous thing! And webcams with mikes built right in are pretty inexpensive too. I think I paid around $26 for mine and it works like a charm, no problems at all. And considering that I use it almost every day, I think that's pretty good. And yes, BO BO BO!!!! I want to talk to her too very much, as well as yourself, missy! So check into it and see what you can do, ok? And btw, darlin, we could all talk at the same time too....you can bring up to 10 people into a conversation! Wouldn't that be amazing? You, me and Bo. I would say Irish probably has only a small amount of RAM to use as resources, which is the problem I run into.

Ohhhhh, ok, I think I understand...a little bit. As you know, mykl, I DON'T know much about computers, but you've made things a little clearer for me, as to Irish's hesitancy about downloading Skype. So - is there anything a person can do about that, or is it just what your computer has, period?

I have...looking now...2 GB, 32 bit operating system. Now how much of that is used I don't know where exactly to find that.

It really seems to be in my Internet Explorer but Firefox didn't work for me either. So.........I just keep cleaning and cleaning all day long. LOL!

Ok, be jealous, darlin, because it WAS James I spoke to yesterday! And boy, is he gorgeous. Ha, when he reads all this, I wonder what he'll think!! I'll bet he gets all red in the face....but honestly, Loud, he's a wonderful person and I had an absolute blast talking with him. We spent nearly two hours talking, so you know we had to have had some fun. I met his wife too, and she's gorgeous also. Tiny little thing she is. Long hair, very pretty woman.

Now - get Skype back and start using it! Hey, we could talk, ya know. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE that! Think about it, ok? It's sooooooo much fun!!!!! And to be able to talk to people all around the world is truly so amazing, it just blows me away!

Nah, no regrets! I tell you, if he's into Rugby then he'll fit in very well in Australia! They're all sports mad back home. lol. Egypt is an interesting place to say the least! I've been here for over a year now, but I'm very keen to get home by the end of 2009. There's of course a lot of history around me and many cultural differences to adjust too as well. But overall it's OK most of the time. And probably far more modern in a lot of areas than many people would think! I have to head off to bed shortly, but I'd be interested to know where in Australia your Son is moving to?

James, it's funny, because I felt so comfortable talking with you, I too felt as if we already knew each other. And yes, this internet thing is just too wonderful. True enough, there are definitely "evils" out there that people perpetrate, and I'm grateful I have no children I have to fear for. But for me, and evidently for you, it's a truly wonderful thing. The people I've met here on the Lot are so very close to me where it counts, even though most of them are hundreds and thousands of miles away. My life has definitely changed since I've been here and made these friends. It's been ultimately enriched. I'm also happier these days too. I get the encouragement and support that I need and I'm able to give the same, which is an uplifting thing for me to be able to do, to say the least. I love it, and that's no lie. And lastly, let me thank you too, James, for being you. I love ya. You say you're somewhat of a jerk in real life, but I sure didn't get that picture from you. Not at all. Life is good, yes?

Life IS wonderful for the most part, Nova! Challenging at times of course, but that silver lining is always there if you look hard enough for it! And for the record, I don't see myself as a "jerk" in real life as such, it's more of a case of me having to be a far more aggressive, forthright, outspoken and serious individual in my day-to-day work life is all. If I get too congenial I get eaten! lol. Anyways, I am still beaming from the chat and looking forward to the next one.
