Hey, Hey, We've got cancer!  

I am so sorry to hear this about Peter Tork. As a cancer survivor I do know he has a big battle ahead of him. I have never seen the Monkees in person but many many times on TV. I liked them all but I do admit that Davy was the cutest.

That's sad Elic. I used to tune into the Monkees on the TV when I was a boy. At least it doesn't look like it's a fatal dose.

I used to watch them religiously. Now I can't much remember anything about them. Very sad when the memory goes. They were almost as much fun as Laugh-In. Tv was so much better in those days...

I had a favorite, but since I don't remember anything I can't tell you his name. It was the one with the funny face and the afro-type hair. He was so neat, I just liked him. But I have no idea which one he was. We all know Davy, can't forget that fresh faced boy. Was mine Mickey? This is sad, not remembering!!

Yeah, I remember the Monkees... it was a fun show. Too bad about Peter. Did he smoke, or chew tobacco?

I was in love with Davy Jones. If David Casidy wouldn't marry me, Davy Jones was my next choice. I still like the Monkeys music. It gives me flash backs to a simpler time. Grade school was when everything was easy and fun.

That is very sad. I was a huge fan of the Monkees as I grew up watching them on TV, buying their songs, seeing them in concert. I even saw them, years later, bringing some of my students (minus Mike). I thought that Mickey was the best singer and Peter the funniest but they were/are all talented men.

I will pray for him. Being a cancer survivor, I can say it really stinks.

I remember watching the show. Then my daughters watched it years later. Did you know that one of the Monkee's mother invented liquid paper? I liked most of their songs cause they were so catchy and fun.

Oh yes, I remember them very well. The show was on the TV here in the 60's though I can't really remember to much about the TV show, that song, "Hey, Hey, We're the Monkeys" has stuck in my mind ever since. I think that they were put together in the first place as a sort of counter to the Beatles. Though I may be wrong about that, I've not bothered to do any research.

I loved The Monkees when I was young Elix - I used to love watching the tv show! I have to admit I was a bit surprised when I saw the title of this post , although I got it as soon as I started reading! xxxx
