Do you have a baby monitor? How many do you have?

We do have baby monitors in our house. There are two. We have the basic baby monitor, where you can hear your baby. That monitor we got when my daughter was first born. This way we could keep an ear on her, and know when she was sleeping, and so on. When we had the money, we bought a video monitor. We got this monitor so we could keep an eye on her, so we wouldn't be waking her up if we were to go check on her when she was naping. It seemed like we always woke her up whenever we opened the door. We don't really use the sound monitor anymore, although we still have it. The monitor we use the most is the video monitor, and right now, it's pointed right at our son. Now we watch him. lol

We do have a moniter even though our children are 5 and almost 3 it means I can keep an ear on them instead of having to leave all the doors open and the tv or me and their dad disturbing them. I also found going to check on them woke them up this way I dont need to worry i will hear them if anything is wrong.

I hate waking my kids because I never know if they're going to right back to sleep. Sometimes my son will decide to be a kangaroo and bounce on his crib mattress. He's such a character.

I have a set of baby monitors for when the grandkids are here. They sure are a huge help! They didn't have those when my own kids were little, it would definitely have been handy. That's cool you got the monitor, that's a great way to keep tabs on a baby. I've also used them a couple of times when an elderly member of the family was staying here. They couldn't get around real good, so I'd go out into the garden and leave the monitor on so if she needed me she could just call me.

Yes, they are very useful. You can be in another room, or even outside, and still be able to keep an eye on your kids. You don't have to worry about them waking up, and you not knowing it. Too bad these things don't have a longer range, you could go a little further.
