Hi eaforeman! We do observe Easter and the Lenten season but it is not popular here in my country to decorate homes during Easter. Most of the establishment do decorate their place with the Easter atmosphere but it is not common practice to decorate homes on this season. But I am sure it will be lovely to do so.
Take care and have a great day!

It is very nice to enjoy the decorations. I do not put up outside lights but I do like things out in the house. I have crosses that stay up all year long and also the ten commandment plack. Appreciate your response and have a great time mylotting.1 person likes this

Hi dear friend! I do have crosses too that stay up all year round and would love to have the Ten Commandments too. I think I will try to look for one here in the shop. That is really nice to have, to always remind me and anyone who will see it to keep/obey the Commandments of God all the time.
Thanks for sharing that dear eaforeman!

The only thing I like about Easter is the eggs my friend, I am not religious so to me Easter is just another public holiday. I don't do anything different at Easter, I used to go away, mainly to my retreat, but it gets busy and booked up quickly, so this year we are going away a week after Easter when it's all quietened down and far more relaxing and the kids have gone back to school. I just don't bother with commercialized holidays either, just a long weekend, that's all it is to me, Christmas too!

We all know how commercialised all the holidays are.lol They are just setting up the displays so far in advance.lol It looks like they are trying to have them all at once lol You probaly have the smart take on this track. I do celebrate Easter as I do believe in Christ. I do think that they start a little too early slamming the shelves with so many holidays all at once lol @mssnow (9484)

I don't decorate but when my kids were little they always got an Easter basket from the Easter bunny. Oh and hiding eggs around. That was fun. But now that they are grown we just celebrate by having a nice dinner Usually its ham and the works like Christmas dinner.

Now, there are all the grandchildren. So , it's all still impotant to them. I use to buy my girls new dresses every Easter and they all got Easter baskets and I bought my son a suit. Blessings and best wish's.1 person likes this

Actually it's strange but I used to love decorating for different holidays and doing special things for them but these days I just don't find myself in the mood for it all...last year I didn't even put the tree up. I know that's terrible. This year I'm going to try to do better. We used to get together and color eggs and hide them which was a lot of fun...I'd like to do it again next Easter.

I just always do decorate for Christmas. I only do the colored eggs when the kids bring the grandkids or I am with them at the time. Appreciate the response.

Yes, for every season I decorate my home. I try to have some sort of theme in my home. Well, since my twins were born, I have had to cut back on the decorating as they TOUCH EVERYTHING...

I think it s very important for children. I can remember all the things that my parents put out for decorations. I remember how much we looked forward to the house being decorated. I have 3 large crosses and the home interior ten commandment plack whhich stay up all year in my home. @webeishere (36313)

Nope.
I only decorate for Christmas actually.
Just a lot of work for what I'd do if I decorated.
Some neighbors here light up outsoors of their house for all times. Easter, Valentines day, St. Pats Day, moms day etc etc.
All too much I think.
But their choice, I prefer not to.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I used to watch a lot more of the movies when my son was younger and at home, but I haven't much lately.. I will take the time to watch them this year as I need the extra boost during this time of troubles and the economy going all haywire.. I also used to decorate one of the trees in my front yard with the different colored plastic eggs, but again, since my son married and moved out, it just isn't the same, so I haven't done that this year either.. I need to get back into the swing of things and get to decorating.. Have a great day..

No I don't decorate for Easter, I do enjoy seeing the little kids parade around in their new Easter outfits. I remember when I was little and I got a new dress, and a new pair of black shiny patten leather shoes for Easter. Those where the good old days.
My neighbor unusually decorates, she has these plastic colored eggs hung on her shrubbery in her front yard. Maybe a picture of an Easter bunny on her front door.
She decorates for most of the holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July, you name it she decorates for it, I don't remember her decorating for St. Patrick's day and Valentine's Day I have to watch and see.

Heyya eaforeman! I collor easter eggs and have a hunt. I also have a large dinner and usually go to a sunrise service. I do crafts with my girls sometimes and let them hang them up or stick them on the fridge.Last year I visited my b/f's family and they had a huge family gathering. I don't know what I will do this year but I'm looking forward to the three day weekend.

Yes, some years, it is all different because , of who;s home everyone is going too. It is also different because of different kinds of food ect, but it is always wonderful. I am spending it with my family and going to my dads house. Blessings and best wish's.
