| I have seen a lot of interesting ways of creating gardens in small spaces using containers and people have turned all sorts of things into planters before but I have never seen anything like this before! I'm not sure even what to think of this kind of recycling. I suppose it saves one more item from the landfill. Would you do this with an old toilet? | | Toilet for a planter | | | | |

| | Does this somehow relate to your discussion regarding toiler restaurants? I am beginning to think you have a thing for toilets now! LOL Maybe if I lived out in the country I would use a toilet to put a plant, but I sure wouldn't use it since I do live in the city. | | | | | | |

| | ROFLOL! I wanted to post this over a week ago after I took the photos (there are lost more) but I could only add one per post so I have been trying to figure out how to add more photos from that day. You should see what the entire yard looked like! | | | |

| | I guess you could call that a composting toilet or just a recycled toilet. Why waste space in a landfill when you can reuse things and save the environment by recycling as much as you can. There is many things that go into landfill that should be reused to go purposes but people are too lazy to think about reusing it even if it will not cost as much. We have top pay to throw out things but if we recycle things we might be able to get paid for them. Many buildings have very useful items in them that should be reused in other buildings but because "time is money" they do not take the time to tear the building down to save as much as they can and same or make money. | | | | | | |

| | I totally agree; I reuse and recycle things all the time, but I don't think I would want to reuse an old toilet. It's the psychology of it. | | | |

| | I don't believe I would use a toilet for a planter. Just note something I would enjoy. But, it is nice to recycle old things | | | | | | |

| | I wish I could have seen the look on my own face when I saw the first one! You can't miss the bathtubs from the street and there is a row of pedestal sinks along one side of the building as well. | | | |

| | I have never seen a pedestal sink, but I have seen the bathtubs out in the country. I think I would rather bury a tub, and fill it with water for fish, or dirt for flowers. | | | |

| | I have one that I plan to do just that with when all the work is completed on the house and the yard. I love ponds. | | | |

| | I know of people that used to use claw foot bathtubs for raising their tropical fishes. They had a convenient drain but before they used it for fish they would clean it well and then paint the inside with a darker paint so that the fish would not become "washed out" because of being in so white a surrounding. | | | |

| | Sounds like a great idea. We have a claw foot bathtub in our upstairs bathroom that we still use. | | | |

| | I think reusing old farm equipment that way is great. I've seen some pretty interesting sculpture that recycled old implements. | | | |

| | Yeah, my grandparents hit the jackpot when they bought their new place several years ago because back in the woods was A TON of old farm equipment that grandpa decided to drag out and make use of. That, and tires. Old tires are perfect. | | | |
