Managing Vicissitudes In Life........  

This reminded me of a movie I recently watched again, The Good Earth, about a poor Chinese farmer who eventually prospers. He and his wife were so proud of their first son and yet when one was exclaiming over how beautiful he was, the other would loudly exclaim as they looked upward "oh, he's a poor sickly thing, quite homely!" in an effort to appease their gods by not appearing prideful.

Wouldn't it be boring to only have good times? If not for the bad times, we would take the good for granted.

If there were no ups and downs how would anyone learn to keep his balance. If you take balance as the analog of equilibrium in physics, presence of equal an opposite forces ensure equilibrium. So, if one is getting all he wants in life then he is not likely to be balanced in his approach to life. Hence a mix of ups and downs is put in almost everyone’s life, so that he/she is taught to hold his/her balance. Further Life will better be understood; in retrospect for what we had once felt frustrated about does not seem to hold any value at a later date. If there were no mystery most people would go mad!

LIFE EXPLORATION
Different people has different finger print and not just that, one people has 10 different finger prints. Five (5) at each respective side; right and left. What is the meaning of having differences in this kind areas of life?. They means for life exploration differs from one to another, physically and spiritually.

PHYSICAL EXPLORATION

Physical exploration ~ being promoted only by two (2) life elements, which is happiness and sadness. Whatever sentiment that we played it falls only in which one to those two (2). If we love to rest in sadness, better don't explore the happiness. In fact, sadness is the positive element for anyone who want to develop oneself to reach happiness. It is also a good catalyst to promote happiness.

An example; - hungry is sadness element, but because of hungry, it drives human to look for clever and smart solution in finding food. No other thing that can solve hungry except food. Meaning that, food will promote happiness. In this case, happiness will stay and remains at the top level in time; and at the same time it is vulnerable to hungry. This is the ups and downs in our life.

SPIRITUAL EXPLORATION

Sadness ~ also works very well as a good reason for anyone who like to engaged to know more about 3W(Where, Why, and Who) and to discover;

1. Where am I going?,
2. Why am I?,
3. Who am I?,

and once explored meaning that, one's always know that life is OK ~ life is rewarding happiness.

There are a few people who have bad luck.
And a few who have good luck.

But for most of us... life is what we make of it.
It comes to decision making.
A bad decision or a mistake will take you down.
A good decision will take you up.

So it is easy to see how your life will pan out.
Most of us alternate between the good and the bad... and it keep us in the middle.

Some people say that the best way not to have a bad day is to stay in bed and do nothing. But that don't work either. If you do nothing... you start losing the little you have and you go down.

We all need to take care of business every single day in order to survive. And that means... "Making decisions". It does not matter how small that decision is... each one is important and can turn your day into a good day or a bad day.

So... choose carefully...

Yes, many posts seem to be about the Law of Cause and Effect (karma) today. It's almost as if we are all tuning into it today - There cannot be a high without a trough, as all relative things are identified by their opposites.

In life, I feel my lesson is to learn to go with ride, just like on a roller-coaster. It is not easy, but I try to not slow the momentum down. Then there is a higher state of consciousness I have glimpsed, where there the "I" just being nothing but an observer - I love those experiences! - Derek

My view on all of this is simple. I believe that God does make our lives interesting for us. The series of up and down you talked about. I however see those as challenges rather than as problems. If we view them that way it continues to make our life interesting and going along at its normal pace. If we get to hung up on the downs and start to cry "Why me". We will soon learn that others have things much worse than we do and they continue to progress and go forward. Why is this? Because those downfalls are challenges. Challenges they overcome and as soon as we learn to treat things this same way we will be going along in life at a much better level and things will not get us down as much and we will see much more tops than bottoms.

What goes up will come down. By the same token, what comes down will go up again. That's the cycle of life. Life is indeed a mystery but to say it is not yet fully explored by anyone is I feel an understatement. We have all explored life since birth and will continue to explore life till the day we die. It is only that we are so caught up with our activities and beliefs that we cannot see the colors of life, the ups and down and the downs and ups.

Life is indeed a mystery but to say it is not yet fully explored by anyone is I feel an understatement. We have all explored life since birth and will continue to explore life till the day we die. Hi sukumar794! I do share your thoughts on this. My life is full of ups and downs. One moment I am in the upswing and feel that the world is so beautiful and the next, I will be in the downhill not knowing sometimes how I have reached that point. I have learned to always put my feet on the ground in all the circumstances I have been put to. I am just glad that in all my success, I have learned to share my joy and blessings and with all my disappointments, there are still some people who have been there to share my pain and hold my hand.

life ias full of mysteries and if we really open up ourselves we shalll learn from most of the things we pass through but unfortunately we fail to do this and we most often suffer the same pain that we could avoid by learning
