or even sort-of-famous/just more known than your average random Internet person.
Me I'm following:
Yoko Ono - not sure if it's her or her team, posts are a mix of promotional and more eccentric ones that probably did come from her.

Stephen Fry: he twitters a lot and very enthusiastically, especially about current projects.

Billy Bragg - mostly promoting events
http://twitter.com/billybragg
Alan Davies - from Jonathan Creek & QI (he's writing something apparently & pos more Johnathan Creek in future?)

Robbert Llewelln - Kyten from Red Dwarf etc
lots of updates re various projects - leaked the news of Red Dwarf's comeback before it was offical.

Charlie Brooker - hilariously bitter, sarcastic and offensive writer and critic
Sometimes twitters extracts from early drafts of his column
Often replies to messages & his posts are sweeter than you'd expect

( tv reviewer and columnist for The Guardian, used to run/write the tvgohome/unovations websites, & also behind the Sweenwipe, Deadset(recent Big Brother with zombies horror mini-series) and Nathan Barley tv programmes.)
Members of the Ch4 newsroom team - get regular updates from the studios on what's hapening behind the scenes re the news, what John Snow's up to and more personal comments from one of the main younger reporters.

I follow Ashton Kutcher because he tweet by himself not like Britney Spears who got an agent twitting for her and I also follow a guy from Heroes that play the guy who controll minds (matt parkman).
I don't like following celebrities because they often are not who they want us to belive that they are or are totaly ignoring their followers and do not follow back.

I follow Tina Fey (SNL), Jimmy Fallon and Kevin Smith (Clerks creator) and so far they have been hysterical. I don't have anyone famous following me but I've only been there about a month. I wasn't going to join but so many of my friends asked me, "Do you Twitter?" that I gave in and joined. The site can get slow at times and there are points throughout the day that it is over capacity. That can be annoying but it usually only lasts a couple minutes. I wish there was an easier way to search for people on the site, if they use an alias it's almost impossible to find them. You would think that there would be some kind of directory or listing that you could go through.
