No, the only money I have been able to save is the money I have had put into my paypal account and that is because I havent requested it yet...LOL I am hoping to go another month or two to build it up before I take that money out... it is too hard with 2 kids, 1 income (hubby's), with food, diapers, school activities and gas for 2 cars it is impossible!! I hope to start making some more money soon online so that I can help out more. good luck with saving if you can!!

I'm saving on electricity, and that's about it. I've seriously cut down our usage (except for the computer being on..of course lol). Our electricity bill dropped from $110 to an average of $70 per month, which is pretty good considering everything. That's about the only thing I've been saving money on, though. I agree with you, it seems impossible to cut down in all areas.

How did you manage that? What changes did you make? Our problem right now is that our heat is also a part of our electricity and it has been a cold winter!

I have not had any success saving money. I swear Murphy lives at my house. It's always an emergency. I was driving around with two bald tires showing the threading. I got scared so I brought tires. My budget is now messed up. I am short on the electricity bill which doubled last month. I keep hoping things will change, but then stuff happens.

STILL HAVE CHANCE ~ but only for the balance money for coins. That is my habitual saving and safe keeping. At the end of the month quite surprising, sometimes can pay electricity and water bills. Having said, just like daily penny saves give dollar earns at at the end of the month. This kind of saving attitude I always remember because I grew up from a very poor family during my childhood life.

I really good at saving money in my christmas club! When it comes to my savings, not as good! I can save money but when I get to a certian amount I take it out! I spend it on stuff I need because I run out of money before pay day! The last time I took money out of savings I sent out the money to 2 charities I really believe in! I've been wanting to do this for quite awhile and just decided to do it! I wish I could do that more often!

save money - saving money is quite important for everybody
In fact I have saved money no matter whether the economy is good or not. Perhaps I will tend to invest some money when the economy is very good. On the contrary, it is much more important to have savings when the economy is bad. In my country, we were taught to have savings since we were little. And we were told that we shouldn't spend more than what we earn. I love China

Hello there! Well since my school is over, I could really help my parents out in saving money by not going out with friends. As much as I really want too, I could just sacrifice a little so that they won't have to give me money anymore. I'm planning on selling stuff this school break so I hope that works out and I could really help my parents.

it is hard to save money. if you are working tho u should stick a little back every week. u never know when u might need it. u can do it if u try & learn to do without things u don't have to have.

Hey there! No, I haven't been able to save money at this time of crisis. In fact I have to spend more because of the soaring prices of commodities and products. It is really hard because you have to cut down on other things that you use to enjoy before. You also have to work more to be able to earn some additional money to be able to cope up with high prices of goods and services. I hope the crisis will be solved soon. Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

i save on things all the time , i have trouble spending money , that sounds funny but its the truth , after the bills are paid and the food is in the house and the kids got what they need i put some money in my account and really dont touch it much because i bearly buy anything for myself unless i really need it, plus i put all my change in a jar and when its full i go to the bank and put it in there , i got lucky today my morgage company sent us a check for over $300.00 they said we over pain on something plus we got a 70.00 rebate in the mail so we are saving that for a summer vaccation along with the rest of the money we have saved

Actually i don`t think save money is too hard.1st you must have a total plan about your spend and cost, you must think clearly about all the things. Then choose the necessary and unnecessary. That`s very important.Cut all the unnecessary, and count your cost. Some luxury can replace by other,so just choose the easiest way to live.

save money for me that is a real joke, I never even have enough money to make ends meet. I got a 535.00 heating and light bill and I don't know where the money is coming from to pay it either.

I'm really trying to work hard on cutting down on going out shopping as much to stop impulse buying. That seems to have worked so far. I'm not spending as much as I used to but I feel like I'm spending more now than I have in the past. However, I'm trying harder to not order food out much and stuff as well as that really starts to cut into my money if I'm not careful. I'm putting extra money into a savings account cause it's collecting quite a bit of interest there and it's helping me save money.

Yes, I have managed it, but not very much - . My parents always encouraged me to save if even a small amount of whatever money I earned and I have carried on with the habit. Mentally I just pretend that I don't have the money I choose to put away. - Derek

well we Indians are little luckier as we r not in resession and still have a growth rate of about 7%..but yes times are hard and govt of India has increased pay of it employees ranging from 40% to 100% per month which is not bad so if some govt employee was getting say about 100 $ now depending upon his job and his qualifications he is getting 140 to 200$. And since world wide recession things do have became cheaper because lots of things meant for exports are not being exported ( no one has money anymore in the west) so there is surplus of goods in market and u know when they are surplus u have discounts so u get branded jeans which have 80% discounts. And i brought a car three days back which costed about 400,000 rs ( 8000$) about a year back , i got for 3,26,000 ( 6500 $) so 1500 $ down on a brand new car:)

I have a jar that we put our spare change in and when it is full, we roll it and put it in our savings account. I also have an automatic deposits made each payday to add money to a high yeild savings account. It has been hard, but I am looking ahead and am preparing to buy my first home next year, so every little bit i can add to savings really does help.
