Wonder if it's true Natasha Richardson turned away the paramedics?

What a shame, if it's true. I don't know if it would have made a difference in saving her life, but, blunt force trauma to the head is nothing to laugh off. Read that her autopsy results showed a blood clot in her brain. When I was in an automobile accident years ago, I hit my head on the door, and was unconscious for about a few seconds. When the ambulance took me to the hospital, they never gave me a CAT scan right away. They xrayed everything else, lol, but not my head. A week later, feeling really bad, my mother insisted I go back to the ER. When the ER Dr. found out I hadn't had a CAT scan, he blew up like a volcano all over the poor nurse. They never found anything, thank God.

I think anytime you hit your head it is worrisome. I guess that there are ways you can be checked without a cat scan, but you probbly really need one to be on the safe side. I hit my head on the back of a bed when I was a kid and it bled like crazy. I also hit my head as a child and had a minor concussion, but I dont think I suffered permanent damage, as far a sI know anyway.

It's a shame about Mrs. Richardson, I'm very sorry for her family.
My mom always told us when we are in any kind of accident, go to get checked out right away, just in case. I think this example shores up her advice. What a shame.

If I understand the circumstances that I read, she had no symptoms when this first happened. Maybe she innocently thought it was just another bump on the head.
How sad it is that she has left behind so many that loved her. I really enjoyed her in the "Parent Trap" as the mother to Lindsey Lohan's character. She seemed like a very gentle kind person.
