My daughter is on Spring break this week from school. One of her best friends is going to Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. So she is a bit sad. Money being tight we are planning a few activities here in town. You know a "stay"cation. Hit some of the more touristy things. What will you be doing for you kids spring break?

The kids in my area is not going to have a spring break because they have to make up the days that they missed back in January and February when the Ice storm hit and everyone in our area was without electricity for over 9 days. So that made it over 22 days they missed so far and they are taking spring break so that it doesn't cut into their summer break..Which to me is a better deal..

I would like to take my family to Silver Dollar City. It sounds like fun and one of my daughter's friends went there recently. I have some time at work which will be a much lighter schedule. Perhaps then.

my daughters are just finishing up their break from school. we went to the main public library and got a bunch of books and movies, went to a mall outside of town and they had friends come over - one had a friend stay over night (she is 12), the other one hung out with male friends (she is almost 16). i think they had a good week.

My son's spring break was this past week. He spend most of it with a babysitter, but he enjoyed hanging out with a few other little kids while he was there. We went out of town yesterday for a mini visit with family and stayed at my cousins house last night. He had a blast.

My son has been out of school since the 8th of this month and will go back on the 20th for his Spring Break. We haven't done much either, my husband still has to work a full time schedule at work, because we choose not to use his vacation days for Spring Break, we would rather use them some other time during the year. We have taken our son to the zoo already, and he got to spend the day yesterday with his nana and papa at the beach, so it's been ok for him, he's just enjoying not having to go to school. We'd planned on maybe just taking him to see a movie, but he changed his mind on that and would rather just chill out at home, gotta love a mind of a 6 year old, lol. Hope your daughter had fun doing things that supports the local tourism.
