What does a pomegranate taste like? |
| |
| I'm really curious about this fruit because I have heard a lot about it, but I don't know what it tastes like. Is it sweet or sour? Is it really as delicious as people claims it to be? What things can you do with pomegranate? Can it be cooked, made into a shake, baked in a pie or a cake? The pomegranate still remains as a mystery to me. Please tell me more about it. I want to know everything there is to know about this fruit. | | | | | |

| | Pour 60gr of sugarcane syrup and 30 ml of vinegar in 100 ml of water, you'll get the similar taste of pomergranate. It's delicious for the girls only, since I never see a boy like it. | | | | | | |

| | I've tried a pomegranate, and didn't like it. Mine had a hint of sweetness, but seemed bitter too. But yes, it has a TON of little seeds you've got to deal with. I've heard people drink pomegranate juice to help with heart disease. It is an excellent source of Vitamin C, if you're into that kinda thing. OH, and plus they will stain your clothes and hands and anything they come into contact with. Hope you like red..lol | | | | | | |

| | This is highly dependant on the particular species just like any other fruit. The pomegranate is actually a berry. For the most part most of them should be what you call tart. Its bitter-sweet, but more on the sweet side while leaving you wanting to sap your toungue. It oculd be made into anything and is currently a fad on the market because people are realising just how good it is health wise. They are way to tasty not to try. And it's not hard to eat. Just crack it open and eat the arils and the seeds. the seeds have alot of value in them too. I also want to know whatever I can about it as i'm crazy about it. I even planted my own ones, 3 of them, and they are emerging to be trees in a couple years. I hope to one day try the mangosteen, though. But I may not plant that as it gets way to big and takes 15 years to develop fruit. | | | | | | |

| | It is basically sweet with a bit of sourness in it, just enough to make it yummy. I try to look for the ripe ones because they are sweeter. We all like it in our home, but I sometimes loose patience because of all the little seeds LOL Apparently pomegranate has plenty of vitamins and anti-oxidants and it's becoming more known than what it was before because of the health benefits. | | | | | | |
