Pittsburg shouldn't be too much different from northern Colorado. Tomatoes, corn, cucumbers and string beans shouldn't be put out until after your last frost date. If you have seed for these, they should be started indoors now, but if you have plants, keep them indoors until the weather is warm. Strawberries are very hardy and can be put out early, as can peas, onions, lettuce and broccoli. I don't know about the cherry bushes or grapes, sorry.

Here's a list of last frost dates around the country: http://www.victoryseeds.com/frost/ Yes, you should be able to put out the early things now. Good luck!

Radishes, garden huckleberries, dandelions, and weed-like herbs are mega easy to grow and take very little care or effort to keep alive, to my experience.

I am in South Carolina and most all vegtables grow easily. We do real well with squash and cucumbers. Beans and okra do good also. Corn we have a problem keeping the deers out of it. The only thing that we really do not do good with is tomatoes. It seems they always rot from the bottom. Which is fine I do not like tomatoes anyways. This year we are planting peanuts for the first time. They are a real big crop down here, so I hope we have good luck with them. Hope you get lots of goodies from your garden.

I have grown so many things. I like doing it and its actually a lot of fun to do. Right now i have tomatoes, peppers, egg plant, green beans, corn, acorn squash and I'm not sure what else is out there at the moment. I find that the egg plant and peppers are pretty easy to grow. I'm sure you know that the green beans and tomatoes are pretty easy. It is something fun to do and not having to buy this stuff from a produce market is always a good thing. You can buy seeds for about a dollar and grow your own food. Enjoy Mylotting
