My child was torn!

It's the end of spring break. My daughter was excited this morning about returning to school. That is until we got to the bus stop. Then she realized I wouldn't be with her and she'd miss her baby brother. Did your kids have trouble getting back into the swing of things?

That is quite natural I would think. Children have different ways of coping and it sounds like you have a very caring daughter. It is a big time for change in her life with the new addition. Once she gets back into the swing of things like attending school after a short break then she will just meld right back into her daily routine.
As for my own five year old boy there have been some things that might have proven a little rocky where getting into the swing of things is concerned but right now he hasn't started kindergarten as of yet and I am anxiously awaiting what that experience will bring when he goes off on a little school bus and I am not there.
My son did attend a small program a while back up North where we were originally from and it took time for him to acclimate to some changes but it still worked out in the end.
Children are resilient ersmommy. Things will be fine.

Thank you very much for award of best response. I truly do feel that children are resilient little people. They can have a way of bouncing back from different challenges all of the time in comparison to adults.
I guess children are young and don't know the full experience of life yet so when dealing with these little changes in life they can accept it better.
I wish you continued luck and success with your daughter and baby. It is definitely a time for changes and growth. Take care.

Ahh, that is a good thing, but once she gets back to school and sees her friends she will be happy and excited again.
