I joined the "Double Day" book club once, and that was some time ago. I did not continue because I had to travel abroad quite often, and couldn'r spend time reading books. It is a very good club offering a huge selection of books. One can get books of your interest, and not that expensive too !

I've never been in a modern day book club. I don't read enough nor find a reason to be in one. I guess there could be a social aspect of it if you had regular meetings or something to attend.

I have yet to be in a book club b ut I would be very interested in trying to find one or even starting one in my area. It is hard to find things in such a rural area like where I live. I don't really like driving into the city to do things like that.

I joined a Book club in elementary school so I can borrow more books in a week than the usual 1 book per week per student. The book club had meetings too and we shared stories but we did not have discussions over a book.

i have thought about joining one but to be honest have always been put off by the fact that i will only have a certain amount of time to complete the book, i like to read at my leisure so that it is something enjoyable to do not feel like i am compelled to do so which can take the fun out of it
