I have my home listed for sale, and I have three cats that I keep inside. My realtor thing that it is going to cause a lot of problems, when potential buyer come to look at our home. I keep my house as clean as possible, and smeeling the best I can. I keep the cats liiter clean at all times. And that's a chore in itself. But, don't most people have their animals inside, wouldn't they understand? Or what do you think? How would you feel about it, if you were looking for a home to buy?

Dah? I think if you keep your house clean, the cats will not show their faces to anyone ! I have three cats all of which do not visit or bother strangers. Well, I have one, a female who's friendly but she knows a bad person too, so she will stay away from anyone who is not kind. Tell your realtor to make sure you know you have potential buyers coming, so that way you can have the litter box/boxes cleaned out and the house nice and neat. Besides, these cats are like family to you---would you hide your kids or their toys if someone was coming ??? I rest my case:) Gotta love those cats LOL quita88

The only thing I'd worry about is one of your cats getting out. Try and keep them in one room when the house is being shown. Good luck.

It wouldn't bother me because I love cats but I can see it as a hender to someone that doesn't have cats, doesn't like cats or is allergic to cats.

I wouldnt worry about it. It sounds like your realtor is one of those stuck up broads that can't handle pets within a 50 mile radius to her. She's probably terrified of cat fur sticking to her $650 shoes and her $2000 suits.

I would love to play with the cats because I love them but I am not too sure with people who are scared of animals. They are really sensitive to the smell of pets. Although I don't know how can your cats in your home can affect the decision of your potential buyer (they are not buying your cat, aren't they?), just keep your sweeties in 1 room or cages for a while, I guess.
