| | Multivitamin is necessary for poor nutrition people (some country where their economy is very bad), work overtime and sick people. I don't think it is necessary for your children to take multivitamin except they have appetite problem. You know we live in a good environment, we eat well, we sleep well and we rest well. I sometimes take multivitamin because I am to lazy to eat vegetables or I work under pressure. I also take it for prevention when people around me have catch a cold (influenza). So it will be better to give variety of food for you children. Many packaging food already vitamin-enrich. If they do not eat well or some neighbor have been in sick, you should give them multivitamin. | | | | | | |

| | Of course you should follow it if you've been told by doctor. I take multivitamin only when I need. I can measure it myself. I rarely eat fruits. I like vegetables but I'm picky. If I eat just little fruits/vegetables in a week, I will take multivitamin. But not, if I eat a lot of fruits/vegetables in the week. Overdosage is not good. Eat varieties of natural food is better and rarely become overdose. If your children don't like fruit or vegetable, then you should give then multivitamin. But you may consider not to give them if they already eat pleanty of fruit/vegetables in the day. You also need to consider the dosage of the vitamins. If it is high dosage you probably only need give them twice a week or daily for low dosage one. | | | |

| | I give my 3 1/2 year old vitamins every day. The Pedi said I could give him Flinstones... I was worried because my son won't eat meat, fruits or veggies! So I got a pill crusher and I put it in his morning juice, every morning. So far, so good; I also give him Flouride drops too for his little teeth. I feel a little better knowing he's getting his vitamins even if he lives off of Cheerios! | | | | | | |

| | No, I don't give my children vitamins - why should I? There's no need to do so. I give vitamin D the first 2 years since we live very far north but that's it. They will get what they need from their food if you'll feed them real food. SOme might need iron or other vitamins due to things, but ordinary people don't need to eat vitamins! Vitaminproducers want to make us thing we need them :-) | | | | | | |

| | My kids will take them occasionally, but not on a regular basis. Normally only when they are getting a cold then they get some Vitamin C pills. They eat pretty good, so they get most of what they need from their food. | | | | | | |

| | i think if you give nutritious food for your kids and you know how much vitamins they can take from their food its better to avoid multi vitamins sometimes multi vitamis its not good for the health it is only good for the first but i preffer not give any vitamis to my kids, i just sure they eat veges fruits and lots of nutritious foods. but if you think they are not healthy enough then try for eat but consult your pedia for more information. | | | | | | |
