Would the avatar help you decide if you want to be friends?

Does the avatar of mylotters influence you in deciding whether or not you want to be the person's friend? I can honestly say that some of those I invited to be friends, I feel comfortable with because of their avatars. Some has placed pictures of their kids, or of themselves, or images that project positive things and I like it.

Thanks for the compliment to my avatar. I will be accepting your friend request after this and will check out your discussion too. Chances are we have similar interests

, I don’t choose friends by looking at their avatars. I look mostly on whether we have the common interests in doing mylot posts. Are the discussions they started interesting as well as they are easy for me to cope with. I also would never like to pick friends who don’t like my discussions totally.
Of course, it is nicer as well to have friends with decent avatar, as well as to have same liking in mylot posting. Anyway I don't mind my good friends use whatever avatar they like. I know it is a great pleasure to have fun and joy with friends here by chatting, besides I could acquire new information and knowledge from the mutual interaction frequently

I agree, I think the main benefits of being a friend to someone here in mylot is that their discussions are already in one section so if you have common interests with your friends then you will naturally be interested in responding to his or her discussions. That is mostly how I decide who to invite as friends, but I do not reject anyone who wants to be my friend

I would not think so, not from the avatar itself. There are so many mylotters here who do not have an avatar and have gone with the default image of mylot. Some of my friends too have these default avatars. I'd mostly go through thier posts to decide.

I don't mind the ones with default image of mylot, there are those that have scary avatars and it makes me wonder if they make good friends, but I don't reject anyone who wants to be my friend

I don't have that decision. I always accept all friend request and send a friend request to anyone in here. I don't see which avatar is more beautiful or unique. But to recognize my friend, I prefer to use the avatar than to remember their username.
Keep post
Happy myLotting...

It is nice of you not to discriminate anyone here in mylot
I'm sure you will have many friends because of that. I agree that remembering the avatar is a lot easier than remembering the name, problem is if your friend suddenly decides to change his/her avatar

I do not reject anyone on myLot who invites me to be in his friends list. I think it's quite OK since this is not primarily a social networking site so I do not mind anyone being added in my friends list. The only benefit a "mylot friend" gets is to send me personal messages. If I do get threatened (or annoyed) with those messages, then I can easily delete him/her from my friends list :)
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I don't reject anyone who invites me to be their friends either. I think there is an advantage to having more friends here in mylot since you have always get updated if they started a new discussion

My decision to be friends with people doesn't depend on their avatars. I'd like to think that they have chosen it for a specific reason and it is not up to me to make a judgment on their preferences. I simply wouldn't be able to decline a friendship just because the person's avatar is not to my liking. Because this person could be a wonderful human being and it would be a shame to miss out on what I could share with this person.

I agree that we should not judge a person simply because of their avatars
I don't reject anyone who wants to be my friend, but sometimes if I really like the avatar of the person, I am the one who requests to be their friend
