MalwareBytes... Try This! |
|
I think you should try this anti-spyware/virus program which I recently stumbled, upon visiting Download.com.
It's called MalwareBytes. I just finished scanning my computer with MB and it detected 6 viruses which my current anti-virus didn't detect. What the hell!
But it was a relief because now they were deleted and I was quite surprised to see that my computer runs a bit faster now. Cool!
It got some pretty nice reviews as well - straight from the users and from the editor himself.
You can download this program @ http://download.cnet.com/... me later after you finish scanning.

kdmlrys (257) | 9 months ago | You don't have to do that. MalwareBytes works well even if you leave your current anti-virus running in the background.

I have Norton securiy for my computer. for now it is good enough for me, once it exprires I may god with some other security system, but for now I will keep what I have. It is good that you have put this info out for all of us myloters.

kdmlrys (257) | 9 months ago | MalwareBytes will work even if you have Norton because the main feature of MB is not meant to replace your current anti-virus program.

5. angelbelle578 (737) | 9 months ago | Forget about my first response, I have that already in my computer but when i used it for scanning my system i dont know how to delete the virus. i cant even click the quarantine. Does this automatically deleted the virus? But i dont think i so. after i scanned my system and found viruses. I dont know what to do next. There's no action button. I dont even know where to see the datails of the virus. And when i scanned again. The virus is still in my comp. Can you help me what should I do. How can i delete my virus using malwarebytes. Thanks

kdmlrys (257) | 9 months ago | You cannot click the Quarantine Tab if the program is scanning your computer. When you stop the process, then you can go to the Quarantine section.
I don't know what happened to your computer but from my recent experience with MB, there should be a "Remove" button below the scan result after the scanning session has finished (that is, if the program detected a virus). You just have to select or check the viruses then click the Remove button below. In addition to that, I think there would be a pop-up message saying that you have to restart your computer in order to complete the deletion process. You have to restart it of course.
For your convenience, you can check the Log File that was automatically created by MB then see if the viruses has been successfully deleted by the program.

kdmlrys (257) | 9 months ago | Welcome, but don't be so confident. Keep in mind that there's no perfect software when it comes to protecting your computer from viruses. I think each and every one of them have their own flaws. And stay away from me 'cause I'm a hacker LOL.

kdmlrys (257) | 9 months ago | I know that, that's why MalwareBytes is one of the most downloaded programs on Download.com.
But of course, not all people that are using MB are myLot members. I don't care if they'll thank me or not, I just want to share this cool program to those who haven't used it yet.

7. AltheGreat2430 (1681) | 9 months ago | That's a good information man! I haven't used this kind of anti-virus. I'll check it out for myself and download it. I might have some viruses in my computer, that my current anti-virus wasn't able to detect, because my computer is a bit slow.

kdmlrys (257) | 9 months ago | That is a possible sign of virus infection. You might as well download the program as soon as possible.

8. cyrus123 (1763) | 9 months ago | Hi kdmilrys! I have tried to create an account with MalwareBytes but I'm having problems. Every username I try seems to be already taken. I will keep trying until I finally get registered and I will let you know what I think Kathy.

|
kdmlrys (257) | 9 months ago | LOL you don't have to create an account on MalwareBytes. All you gotta do is download the software, install it, then run a scan. If the program detected a virus infection, then get rid of it! As simple as that (but may take some time though - scanning may last for hours depending on the number of files you have on your PC).
