FOr those that thought it was just a one shot wonder, there is going to be another national Tea Party on July 4th. Want to find one near you? Not one near you but you want to start one? http://www.teapartyday.com/ Are you going to go the next round of Tea Parties? Do you think it will be as big as the last one?

I don't know about that. I am glad to be part of the whole Tea Party movement, but to me Independence Day shouldn't be politicized... no matter how worthy the cause.

Ted, here's another one of those shocking times when I totally agree with you! Independence Day is an American celebration and should not be political or partisan at all. Annie

THe holiday is political. It is the day we celebrate declaring our independence from the govern of another country. But I do kinda see what you mean. But a lot of people complained last time that it was during the week and they had to work so they could not make it. So I guess they are picking a day when they know most people will not be at work. It is at 12:00pm so it will leave plenty of time for people to go see the fireworks.

To be totally honest, Hon, if it really was like you and some of my other friends here say meaning a truly nonpartisan movement with AMERICANS speaking as one for the good of all of us I'd be all for it. However, as long as there are those like the first response here who are determined to turn it into nothing but a personal vendetta against the current Administration I'll have to pass. If only a fringe group of attendees share those views that's how the whole movement will be portrayed. The ironic thing is, it will be portrayed that way by both the far left and far right media with the former saying it's a bad thing and the latter saying it's great. I think we're divided enough as a nation right now and don't need to add fuel to the fire...works... Annie

Well I am not going to let a few people that are there for the wrong reason stop me. My sign says "Do ANY of you know what fiscal responsibility is?" on one side and "Got fiscal responsibility? How about fiscal accountability?" on the other. MOst of the signs I saw at the last one I attended were not about any party. They were mad at both. MOst of signs were about the Bail outs, our national debt and pork. A number of them were about the homeland security labeling some people "domestic terrorist". One guy help up a sign that says " Domestic Terrorist: I believe in State's rights". WIth an arrow pointing down at him. I did see a few anti Obama signs. But only a small few of the several hundred that showed up. Ours did not make in TV though. It don't it will make it on TV this time either. All it takes is one person to show up with an Anti democrat or Anti Obama sign and for some reason the whole group gets labels anti obama. Which is sad. The majority of the people I know and were there are equally mad at both sides. and pretty fed up with them both.
