Uniforms? |
|
How do you feel about wearing uniforms to work?
Majority of the companies require their employees to wear uniforms for decency and unity. Besides the fact that wearing uniforms is economical as you get to use them for at least two years, you also don't have to worry about what to wear the next day.
Some say, it's better to wear casual clothes to work as they are more comfortable and they could work more properly.
What's your stand?

I do believe that when you work in uniform you somehow have economic benefits in it because you have to wear only one kind of dress for the whole week. But true after office you feel a little bit uneasy walking on your uniform already.

2. maezee (4967) | 9 months ago | It depends. I would totally be OK with "dressing up" to work but not necessarily wearing a uniform. I'd like that, because I love clothes and putting outfits together ANYWAY, and it would give myself an excuse to dress up and express myself. I think they're also nicer to be seen in than a uniform shirt or polo.
But, the nice part about having a work uniform is that you don't really have to coordinate your outfit; you don't have to put much thought into anything. This works great for people who aren't necessarily obsessed with clothes & outfits like I am, and who don't really care about expressing themselves in the workplace. And as you said, you never have to worry about what you're going to wear the next day. I personally think that concept is a double-ended sword, considering it's both practical and boring to have to wear the same thing day after day.
I would much rather be able to have a dress code rather than a uniform policy. I'd rather be able to wear "business-appropriate" clothes than have to wear the same uniform day in & day out.

4. g_aileen09 (750) | 9 months ago | That's an added benefit on employees' part, why worry? It's part of company's expense, isn't it? We came to work for companies, so we better follow any rule that management may impose. If we cannot follow, we better look for another job that won't require us to use uniforms, or best, build our own company.

6. hmkoct5 (1007) | 9 months ago | Personally, I would like wearing a uniform to work. I wouldn't have to worry about having the right kind of clothes or spending a lot of money on clothes. Everybody would look the same! I think as long as the uniforms were comfortable and looked decent, that they are the way to go!
