USA's image all over the world has been very low in graph since her last moves in tackling the terrorismic activites around the Globe. Some say America has to creates situations to launch a war in the territory. Obama is the man in charge now to bring back the lost image USA.

Hi Kaleem, America and Americans are hated throughout the world thanks to the last president. Obama has a big job on his hands to try and repair some of the damage. He needs all the help and support he can get. Sadly it seems more people are criticising him than agreeing with him. The strange thing is that the Americans are getting all the flack when to me, Blair, by supporting Bush, was just as guilty. He made me ashamed to be British. I hope there are better days ahead for Americans and the world in general.

Dont blame the last president we have been hated forever by the outside. Honestly how can you put it on one man. Hopefully Obama can find some kind of peace with other countries but if we have nothing to offer them trust me they will not bond with us. The Americans have been used and abused over and over again. Imagine if we just had the zillions of dollars that we have forgiven in the past we would never be where we are today. Oh and by the way you should always stay true to who you are and there is no way that one man can take that away from you. I may bot agree with a certain president but never would I say I am ashamed to be an American

I'm with granmasnook on this one. I may be ashamed of a president, but never of my country. Besides, how can you, as an adult, believe that all hatred towards the US came from Bush? Europeans have had that attitude for a VERY long time. I remember in the 90's watching Eddie Izzard saying that Americans who visit Europe should claim to be from Canada to avoid being treated like crap. The anti-American attitude is nothing new and it's ignorant to think it started with Bush.

Well, I should know better than to get involved in a political discussion, especially American politics which I admit have always puzzled me. Grammasnook, I respect and understand your comments. To Taskr, my final comment is that I have traveled extensively all over the world and can say that I never experienced a general hatred towards Americans before Bush2. Like with any other nationality there was always the odd individual who made themselves unpopular but that had no effect on the general feeling towards Americans. When somebody does not agree with YOU it does not necessarily mean they are ignorant. If you need to resort to insults it indicates to me a lack of confidence in your argument. I am withdrawing from this discussion and will avoid responding to any other political issues where it seems courtesy and respect rarely exist. I repeat my original comment of wishing all Americans a better future.

The USA's world image, though it's easy to pick a scapegoat, has extremely little to do with former President Bush and a lot to do with the mentality coming from abroad -- a lot of which we share right here in the states: Blame. Everyone wants to blame someone. It's easier. Instead of taking personal responsibility, knowing the facts, and coming to a judgment based on rational thinking, jumping aboard the blame wagon is totally convenient. And the more people who jump on, the more want to jump on. Everybody loves a winner. I was recently reading a discussion about everyone panicking over the swine flu, and the two - America hate and flu panic - tie in together rather easily: A person is a strong pillar of rational thought. People, however, are herds of unruly reactionaries, jumping and running and fighting and fleeing depending on which way the wind blows. Here's the ultimate irony: If the rest of the world loves America because of Obama, it's for the EXACT same reason they hated us when Bush was in office. It's all about the populus. Obama is popular = The rest of the world likes him = he is America. Bush was unpopular = The rest of the world hated him = he was America. It's the exact same equation with a different sum. And no matter what, it's not America's fault. We're the same country. We're the same people. If it takes a man to bow to kings and apologize for America before the rest of the world drops this feigned hate, then it's not worth it. We live in a very funny time. Could you imagine if so many people had this "I'm a victim" attitude a thousand years ago? The human race would not have made it! Everyone wants to point their fingers without lending their unlabored hands. In short, my advice to the rest of the world: Grow up! America has always been there, helping when the rest of the world thought they could ignore Hitler, Japan's put-on God, the Soviets, and so much more pure evil and hatred. Terrorism carried out by Jihadists is pure evil and hatred. Bush was right to attack it head on. The rest of the world would just rather not be inconvenienced by this hard truth. And that has absolutely nothing to do with America and everything to do with their false dream world where bad guys disappear if left alone. Ask six million Jews if evil goes away if left alone. Oh, that's right; it's too late to ask them. I know it's a long rant, but the bottom line: America's image is fine. It's the rest of the world that needs to decipher fact from fiction.

Great response matersfish! The United States is the most generous nation in the world, sending billions in aide every year to people who desperately need it. Even though some of those same people openly hate us, we still continue to help them so, yeah, we're real jerks.

"Obama is the man in charge now to bring back the lost image USA." Interesting. So it seems he will be bringing back our "lost image" by Launching drone attacks in to Pakistan...just like Bush did, keeping 50,000 troops in Iraq...just like Bush was....keeping troops in Afghanistan....just like Bushs did, only Obama is sending MORE troops to Afghanistan. Personaly, I don't give a rats asss about our world image, the worlds opinion of us is of absolutely no importance to me.
