My Poor Hamster:(  | |  My husband and I got a hamster a few months ago. We got him from Petsmart and he seemed healthy. He was very active. He liked to play, eat, sleep. All normal Hamster stuff I guess. He really liked a ball where he would run all around the house in so he could get out of his cage and get some exercise.
Well, my husband and I were out one morning and when we came back, our roommate asked us where our hamster was. I just assumed he was hanging around out of sight so I said as much and didn't pay it much attention. Well, a few hours later when I went to put him in his ball and freshen his cage, he was gone. Nowhere to be found. We went searching around the house and still couldn't find him.
Our roommates could have got him out of the cage to play and something happened to him and they didn't tell us. But, I think he found a way out of his habitat (the top door was broken so it wouldn't snap shut, gravity just kept it shut). our room is close to the laundry room where there is several holes in the floor for piping. I think our Hamster found his way down there and tried to explore the real world. It was the last he was ever seen.

We had an iguana once who got out of his cage and we thought for sure that he was either gone or one of the cats ate him because he was nowhere to be found...that is until one morning when he surprised my duaghter. He lived on his own for over two months so maybe your little Rhino will turn up, too.

 Pigglies (5000) | 8 months ago |  Wow, that must have been a small iguana, lol. I know my uncle had one that was nearly 6 feet long. You couldn't lose her! That iguana was crazy, very possessive. Once his girlfriend ended up needing stitches because the iguana didn't like her being so close to my uncle.

During that time, we laid out some food but double checked the house. One time, the mouse found himself a nice comfy spot under my mattress...yes that can happen. We eventually found the furry fluff in the laundry room, running about and hiding under the washer. He's now back in his cage where he belongs.
Hopefully you'll find him, but keep an eye out because they'll pop out when least expected.

They are definitely escape artists though. But I know one girl whose hamster went missing for around 2 weeks. She found it later under her bed.
A good trick for finding your hamster is to place sunflower seeds or some treat they like in the center of each room. If you notice some missing seeds in the morning either that's the room your hamster is in, or you've got rats or something else in your house. | |

I am so sorry to hear that. My hubby had two hamsters before, he loves them so much, one is fat and one is thin which was quite funny to see them sit next to each other.
I agree to the previous responses as well. Don't give up hope! Hamsters are so small and tiny, he might be hidden somewhere. Maybe put something food outside his cage or leave a bowl of water there, hope he will appear again.
