I can't stand anyone following me around the store. First of all, I wonder why they are doing it. It's uncomfortable, it's put pressure on you, etc. But, I can't stand when I need to ask someone something and there are no employees around. Employees don't need to hound customers, they should just leave them to their shopping. But, on the other hand, they should be easily accessible. I'm thinking of a place where each customer can request personal shopping assistant to walk through the store with them and aid them with their shopping by performing price checks, escorting them to departments, helping them reach certain items, making recommendations, etc... This might be a good idea for the stores that are not extra expensive. But, again, I would make the personal shopper available upon request.

i agree, another thing i cannot stand is when you need them, they are busy talking to another staff and pull a long face when you call them

Oh I couldn't stand having sales staff following me around the store, I would end up walking out, I prefer big department stores that you can walk around and just take what you want to the front register...

I wish the ones where I shop would just stop breathing down my back. I know where everything is, I know what's on sale, and most of all I don't steal. They don't let you get to where you need to go without asking you so many times what they can help you with. I used to have an attitude about it but once I realized just how many people do come in with bad intentions, I can understand...

I'm kind of in between. I don't want the sales people to come up to me before I've had the chance to even look, much less come up with any questions for them. But I do want them to look up and notice when customers have a puzzled look on their face and need some assistance with something, I don't like to have to search for someone. Usually by the time I've gone halfway around the store I've decided I really don't need whatever I thought I wanted. Which is bad for them if they're on commission.

I HATE IT when i enter a shop and sale staff starts following behind me because i feel my privacy is gone and i won't have time to think about what i like to buy, normally i leave the store without buying anything.

I prefer that they leave me alone.I don't like it when they follow me around because it seemed to me that they think I'll steal something from the store.I love going around the store to see and examine things which I might buy.I need my "shopping privacy".

well, in America way... we don't really like when sale person follow us behind. It seem to be odd, mostly sound like we are a thief that they should keep their eyes on you or something. If I see someone follow me, I will tell him/her to stop follow me and I will let him/her know whenever I need anything. And if they still do it, it mean they are afraid you will steal their stuff... hahaha... it is mostly Asian people who do that. Am I right?

I kind of like for them to be nearby in case I have a question or something. It is irritating to have to search all over for someone for assistance. What I don't like is a sales person that continues to try to "help" when I have asked for none. I have had them point out certain clothes and such that they think would look good on me in an attempt to make a sale.

I prefer calling the sales staff when I need assistance of help on the item I am buying. I feel uneasy when a staff follows me wherever I go and I hate receiving opinions when I am not asking. It is okay when I hear them endorsing the product but I hate redundancy so I only want to hear from them once. I hate it when they keep on following you as if you will steal something. They should just be in a distant and just check you through looking for a while and then they should entertain others. I mean proper manner of entertaining customers should be done in such a way that won't annoy buyers. I prefer looking for a sales staff and then will just ask him or her than being followed wherever I go. I want a free shopping and free checking of items I want to buy.

No, no, no... I do not like a sales staff following close behind me while I shop. I will feel uneasy and most probably I will walk out of the shop if the staff continue to follow to every area I walk to.
It will be good if there are staffs staying around so that they can answer to any queries about the product if I may have, but not to the extend of tailing so close to every corner which turns out to be kind of irritating.
