Do you keep a diary?  

I also used to write diaries but not much. I think writing one's diary is a great thing because by that we can record the moments of our lives and then after sometime we can recall it. But now a days I am too busy for writing but still I would try after this post :)

I used to keep a diary, when I was in my early teens, but I stopped after a while. I think that it's mainly due to the fact that I lost interest. This is the only reason that I could think of, which would explain why I stopped writing in a diary, and such. It's certainly not that I don't enjoy writing, as I've kept writing stories, articles, and such.

Oh yeah , I used to write down so many things each and every day during my school days. That's a lot of fun ! Well, those were the days ! But now, just like you, I get so busy each day, and so many things keeping the day busy, I could only jot down a few worthy things very briefly just to remind myself of things to do in the next days !

Yes I have always kept a diary every since I was a little girl and still do til this day.

i usually keep one, i write down my prayers in journals, i also love drawing, keeping mementos and other little things, sometimes i keep them in a shoebook on my shelf. I have about maybe 8 journals that i've written in over the past three years. It's natural and the written word is very powerful! :)

I never kept a diary - it would be - go to work (or school) come home, watch tv

now, get on computer...

I guess I'm just not a deep thought gal

I used to do it when I was in college. I was having a really hard time with a writing course I was taking. I would do OK once I managed to START an assignment, but I had the hardest time knowing where to start. My teacher advised me to get a notebook and start keeping a journal. She told me to write something it in every day, and not to worry about what I wrote about or how it sounded, but just to write whatever I was thinking at the time. I started doing this every night, and it really helped me with my class. I ended up making an "A" in the class. I don't keep a journal any more, however. I have no problems starting a writing project these days. I have a harder time finding things that I really want to write about than I have with actually doing the writing.

I have actually thought about keeping a journal again. Keeping a journal actually seemed to help me organize my thoughts and think things through. I guess this is why some of the most successful people in history have kept diaries. I would have to try to find the time to write in it, but perhaps it is something I should consider doing again. I usually try to spend the time I have to write doing things here at mylot, because I am being paid for the stuff I post here, but thing are a little slow here at times. I have a blog, but I never can remember to post to it. LOL

Does internet blogging consider a diary too?

I don't keep a physical book to record my diary because I tend to forget lost things easily. I've a blog that I use to voice out my complains, of course, if it is something private that I don't wish others to know, I will privatise that particular entry. xD

I write diary sometimes in my computer but not everyday. I consider writing diary as a method to change mood so I do it when I feel sad, disappointed or angry. I do not want to share these kind of mood to my friends so I write them down and when I close my diary, it is like to lock all the unhappy things up. In this way, I adjust my emotion to make me keep optimism and good mood everyday.

Never been into keeping a diary. But for years and years now I have done kind of what you describe doing now. I refer to it as a journal. I buy a new one each year, keep it with me like it is my calendar and write notes about EVERYthing that happens all year. You can find anything from a good recipe idea shared by a friend, to rant sessions where I just needed to get something off my mind.(and tons & tons of book recommendations). I love these journals that I now have to look back over my life. I even sketch and doodle in mine. It's just a book a fun when I am finished with it!
