Are you saving for a reason?

Having spare money lying about never interested me over the years, if I had money it would be spent! Nowadays though I realised I needed to have an emergency fund and so started one up last year, I also started making more of an effort to save too and so now I have 2 little nest eggs building up just in case and for special things. I only wish I had started doing it years ago.

Yeah, I am saving for a reason. We both are college teachers and whatsoever savings we have that is for our son. He is a sharp boy and surely get into the Oxford University when he would grow up.

Actually I personally wanted to study in the Oxford University but somehow it did not materialize and wish to see this getting a shape in the form of our son.

we work in construction, so it is up and down, and you never know what is going to happen, so i always try to have enough saved so the we can make it through a few months if we have to.

Define the word: SAVING.?
LOL!!! I would like to have a little money set aside to at least pay for my own cermation. My granma did that. When she died she had what she needed for her own burial. I think that would work better than paying life insurance.
What i save beyond that is for things i need in life. Like computers, TVs, really nice RV, etc.

to save money just in case of some sort of emergency! Lord
knows I have sure had my share of them! And then I had to
use all the money that I had put away and now I have nothing
left! And I don't know if I will be able to save anything
again. So if you can get the chance to put some money away,
I certainly suggest you put all that you can because you never
know when you are going to need it!

I save to pay the bills and get what we need. If I know there is something coming up that we want or want to do, I will save for that. We are saving now for a vacation at the end of the summer.

My husband and I are trying to save whatever money that we can. We got a new puppy and need to make sure he has everything that he needs. I would also like for us to have some money saved back in case our car breaks down (it's on it's last leg, or in this case wheel)or in case any other emergency comes up. It's hard though, since there are so many things that we need on a normal month, but I feel like we will be able to save what we can.

Well, I don't really save to buy something. I just save to have money at hand in case I need one.

My partner and I are currently saving for our trip to Bali later this year, and for an apartment. We've decided that we want to live in the city, seeing as I work in the city, and my partner hopes to trasnfer to one of the city stores later this year (he works in retail).
We've got pre-approval from the bank, so we're just trying to decide whether we buy a one bedroom apartment now, or save for another year so that we can get a two bedroom apartment.

With the way the economy is today, it's imperative that we do save money for all types of emergencies and disasters. I never spend more than I have to and I'm cutting back on things as we speak.
