Are you saving for a reason?

I'd like a little nest egg to sit upon but as for now I'm doing all I can to get by and trying not to buy too much that isn't absolutely required. I spent a little more this week than I needed to, and still no rewards...

I do have a savings but I do not have extra money to save. I would love to have extra money to be able to put in my savings for a vacation for every summer since my husband thinks he needs to go on vacation every summer even though we do not have the money to go on one.

Yes, I read a book called Christmas Jars; It talked about how folks were saving money throughout the year and at Christmas time, they gave the jar to someone who really could use it at their own discretion. Now at the time I got the book, to be honest, I wasn't working, but I told myself that the best thing to do at this time is to save what you got and hope and pray for the best. And you know, I have three of them. One to give, one to save, another I am saving for a Kindle; Since that Kindle DX came out, I've been looking at it, but I just feel that there's some more coming down the pike, so I'm just saving for now. I even encouraged my daughters to do likewise, but no dice yet.

well, maybe all of us are saving money for something or maybe for emergency. I do, too, I keep a little of my earnings just to have something to use when it is needed.
I think, it is important now a days. For me, putting aside little money every time you have little earnings is a wise choice.

I try to save my money alot, but it rarely ever works anymore...emmergencies require me to spend it...my family needs it, etc.
I want to save for a mode of transportation, a home, you know...my life, but we'll have to see if I can do that here in a couple years.

Yes, my younger brother will be entering college this June, and we all know college tuition fee is higher that we could imagine and it will increase per sem, so I have to save more money in order to provide for his tuition. My brothers needs is my priority now.

i like to be able to save for my son's education. you know, maybe help my husband in the finances even if i chose to stay at home. i began doing paid to read stuff and i hope that when the time comes i can give a little something for my son's tuition fee and help my mom and dad also.

i am saving for a lot of reason,i am paying a loan as of the moment. also a big part of my savings goes to something expensive and i think my largest savings so far and that is to buy an airline ticket to London by the end of the year. i really have to go to London for a reason. a round trip ticket to London would cost me at around $700 - $900 for an economy class and $2,000 - $4,000 for a business class (depends on the airline company).

I am always saving. I only spend when I have to. I recently saved so much I was able to buy a new car upfront with cash. That was exciting. Now I am back to square one saving again. But with no car payments to take away this month, I will be able to save more than before. I need to save to move out and for emergencies and for whatever else I may need in eth future. I can’t live paycheck to paycheck..that scares me too much.

Right now my fiance and I are saving up for our wedding plus I am trying to pay off debt before it gets on him. I really need to keep my eye on the ball here about this one because I really need to make a lot of money, lol. Well not a lot, but then again I'd like to make more then what I have to pay the debt collectors.

My fiance and I have/ are trying to pick up odd jobs to do here and there. Of course after the debt gets paid off we're going to be saving the money for a vacation, and for a rainy day. It never hurts to have a little extra.
