It's that time of year again, for yard sales and we love going to see what we can find that we can resell on eBay or that we can use.
I saw lots of interesting things but what caught my eye was a set of gardening magazines and a couple of books on hobbies.
My blogs are mostly on hobbies and interests, gardening being one of those hobbies. I have 4 blogs about gardening now and the magazines will give me plenty of ideas for great content.
The hobby books are for my wife as she is trying to find something that will interest her as much as my hobbies excite me.
I also bought the 2009 Farmer's Almanac. I will be curious to see how the predictions work out this year. More interesting blog content.
Do you have a passion for yard sales and what do you do with the things you buy?

I love a great yard sale.
I usually buy household items and clothes for my kids & if we're lucky for the adults too.
I did run across a ton of Taste of Home Mags from a church rummage, I stuffed them in my $4 bag and I've got lots of neat ideas for meals besides looking @ the usual websites for iteas.

Most definiatly! A lady said she'd knock the price down on the clothes if I came back as I didn't have enough time to keep looking. Well I brought my daughter back and she's like she's small (age ect) but the stuff she was selling was her size - 2sizes bigger and I'm not passing up Nike and Gap clothes for .25-.50 a piece!!!! I can't afford it otherwise ya know?!?!?
SO my kids have tons of clothes simply because I over buy as I can't help myself with all the good deals & if they slop one I always have another

We mostly buy things we need. Baskets for harvesting from our farm or garden. Books for academic interest or regular enjoyment, clothes or shoes when we tear up our old ones, etc.
We buy mostly at yard sales, flea markets, and church sales because it's darned cheaper than grocery, mass retail, or malls, for sure for regular life things we need.

My wife loves going to second hand places. She comes home with pants and blouses that she gets for almost nothing. I have no interest in buying clothes and would wear the same things for years and years if it weren't for her buying me stuff at second hand places.
It sure is cheaper that retail stores and it can be more fun as well.

Hi Webmann, it sounds like you found yourself some good reading ! I just LOVE yard sales !! Since living in Mexico we don't see hardly any of them here, and I really misss going to them and resale shops . I would look at everything when I would go to them.. You never knew what you might find , that was the fun of it .
