How do you store your magical supplies? | | Currently, all of my stuff is shoved into a dresser drawer and my books are underneath a table that used to serve as my altar. Now, my stuff isn't so organized and can be hard to get to sometimes if I want to use candles in workings. I've thought a bit about buying myself a trunk or something else that I can use to store my supplies in.
I'm curious as to what everyone here uses for their magical supply storage? Do you use a trunk? Or something else? How do you keep your supplies organized for easy finding?

It seems that my supplies are more or less kitchen stuffs so there's not much reason to have a trunk or something for them. And my plants wouldn't survive in a trunk so that's out of the question. I'm not compltely sure what I'd want to have in my other things in if I had them.

| | 3. pyewacket (11622) | 7 months ago | I have everything in my bedroom which serves as my "magical" room---I have a four shelf bookcase, that believe it or not found on the street for garbage just down the block and it was in mint condition---all my "magical" books are stored there (do have quite a lot)---on my wooden floor I painted a 3-1/2 foot blue toned pentagram that serves as my "altar" I just merely need to add everything on the floor, like my kneeling Ancient Egyptain statue incense holder, athame, chalice, candles, etc--most of my things that I add on the "altar" I place on top of my bookcase headboard until I need them and in a sense the way it's arranged serves as sort of an altar itself. I have a separate small shelf type thing where I store all my essential oils. So. nope don't store anything away in a container but everything is out in the open I was wondering, instead of a container or trunk, why not get a bookcase? You could of course store your books there, then one shelf maybe for your candles and such, another shelf for any other items and so forth

highflyingxangel (8990) | 7 months ago | I do have one bookcase but it's so full of all of my other books that it's hard to find space for other items. I'm planning a move at some point, or at least I think I'm planning a move within a few months if everything works out and I'm unsure of how much space I will have or how much space I really want to take up. I will be living with my partner so I will have to worry about allowing enough space for the both of us to comfortably live. Now, she's quite comfortable with my beliefs so that's not an issue. I'm just worried about space issues and storage. However, your bookcase idea is definitely a great idea.

| | 4. xParanoiax (4937) | 7 months ago | I have a cabinet-esque thing in my room. Half of it's a sort of short shelf thing, where I can tell electronics were supposed to go, by whoever made it, and the other part with little opening doors (for music, dvds, VHS and misc. things I imagine was the original intention). On top of that part I have a make shift altar -- the inside of the cabinet part I keep my laptop, a few games, and art supplies), and on the shelf I have my dvds, comics, magazines, a lamp, and one shelf is for my magical supplies. I don't have much, because I haven't been able to get ahold of more than the bare essentials since the last housefire.
I used to have a trunk, now I have a shelf. And it'll do, and I'm glad to have it^_^ besides, now I actually HAVE space for an altar, whereas I never did before.
It's all easy to find and the light from both the sun and the moon can reach it.

| | | 5. Gypsie_Dawn (4) | 7 months ago | I like to be organized! I keep all my books in one book case just for magickal books. I use a long dressar as an altar. It has alot of drawers in the front that is great for storing magickal tools, candles, oils, etc. I keep all my herbs in one place as well. Hugs and Blessed Be!

| | 6. Galena (4079) | 7 months ago | my books are in the bookcase.
I have a fairly hefty wand on my coffee table. and my standard altar tools on a shelf in the larger bookcase. I have a besom in the hallway, leaning against the wall with the umbrellas.
the herbs and spices and so on are in a cupbard in the kitchen, in among all the culinary stuff.
I don't have anywhere special for Witchy stuff, because it's a lifestyle, not a hobby. so it's among all other parts of my life.
