Being from Australia, there aren't many things that surprise you in the street where you live. However, when I moved to Thailand things became much different. To look out your front window at a three (approx)meter elephant being fed bananas certainly makes on jump for the camera. Another time when I had an apartment overlooking Bangsaen beach, I came home to be greeted by a monkey sitting on my balcony. Please share, what are the stragest sights you have seen at home?

no monkey or elephant on my street....but I have seen huge opossum sitting on my front yard tree, right at my window... My cat was looking at opossum with wide open eye and she was really afraid, good lord my dogs didn't care much...busy sleeping at early AM hours...

We have a few possums also, usually scampering along a fence top, or on the power lines.

wow..i don't think i can top that. maybe the entire upper side of across the street on fire.somebody had set fire to the school overnight and they were barely keeping it from spreading. to wake up at 2 am to a huge orange glow outside your window is both scary and strange.

If you couldn't see the flames, or hear the roar, you'd probably think it was an alian invasion. Now I think I'd rather face the elephant and the monkey than that.

Wow, that's amazing! hehehe.. The strangest I've seen so far is not actually strange but more of 'sweet'. I woke up to a bird singing in my balcony. I don't know the type of bird that was, but it was just singing so sweetly, making me start my day a bit better than before.

What a perfect way to start the day. You can be sure there are no birds singing beautiful songs around monkies.
