I don't like you!

to me, this would be horribly rude, for someone to tell me straight to my face.. or me to theirs.. that one didnt like the other... life is what life is... God made us all very different.. and there is no way that we are going to like everyone... so the person needs to just deal with it... both parties included. Anouther point to remember... just because someone doesnt like someone.. doesnt meat that the other person is not a good person. There are plently of people that i just dont care for, but do realize that they are good people. I have never had someone tell me straight to my face that they didnt like me, but i know that it would hurt my feelings greatly... and why would someone want to do that? there are people that i could tell did not like me.. but... i just didnt bother them... and usually they wouldnt bother me...

I used to be so thin-skinned that whenever someone would say something rude to me or just straight up told me that they couldn't stand me, that I would break down in tears when I got home (no point in having them see me cry). Now, I realize that no matter how nice you are to someone, they may or may not like you, and that's just a fact of life. It shouldn't stop you from still being polite, though.
I remember in 7th grade, this one girl called me "greasy-haired" and "gerry-curled," and she would leave nasty notes in my locker...come to find out, she was jealous that I was hanging out with a mutual friend of ours. I don't know why she was jealous, but that wasn't my problem. It bothered me then, but I can look back and laugh at it now.:)

No one has told me in my face that he or she does not like me, but I do have this co-worker in the company where I used to work - she just does not like me. She need not tell me, but I can tell that she hates me. She transferred to our company and her designation compared to mine was higher, but since I am the one who's been with this particular project since it started, she does not have a choice but to learn from me. Unfortunately, this girl does like to learn from me. It's hurting her ego. That's why she hates me. With her like that, I still tried to teach her, but I didn't teach her everything if she has so much pride in her. It wouldn't hurt to ask from a subordinate. I purposely withheld info from her and went straight to our bosses because she was making my work difficult. She's out of the company now.

It's not healthy.

When I was younger, I did experience instant dislike, but I learned to become more tolerant as I matured. I have observed in the past that there were people who didn't like me for superficial reasons (oftentimes, these people were also very insecure). It bugged me a bit, but I'm the type who'd convince myself not to be bothered anymore because I wasn't doing anything to hurt anybody. If I was, then that's a diff matter. My kneejerk reaction to petty people is flippancy, so I end up making them angrier because I won't take their hating on me seriously. It's also a kind of defense. If I don't dislike them back, then I am above them, implying they're lowly creatures not worth any form of strong emotion from me, lol. I've only had one occasion when somebody told me right off that she didn't like me and since I was still really juvenile then, I just told her to blow it out her**** and called her something really unoriginal, lol. I don't expect everybody to like me and vice versa, but I do know how to behave civilly and with good breeding (or have learned to, lol).

It's a very sensitive word to hear.
Its hurting but I will go away from

I just accept that criticism but try my
best to face the trials and stay away from the person.

There is a woman at work i don't like and she doesn't like me! We never have told each other face to face! It was spread by gossip which is ok with me! I don't care this women doesn't like me! There have been months she has gone out of her way not to talk to me! What I did to her I don't know! I don't care! I don't like her because she does the no talking thing to other people and won't tell people the truth when you ask you a question! A simple question! Her excuse is 'I'll get yelled at'! Now that is stupid and a very insecure person! This is why I don't like the old bat!

I guess I would be a little taken aback if someone came right out and told me that. I would probably wonder why but then I would probably think if they really don't like me then Oh Well! There are so many people in the world I don't expect everyone to like everyone else. I don't ever remember coming right and telling someone to their face that I don't like them, I generally try to be nice to everyone. If I really don;t like someone that much then I don't associate myself with or really try to keep my distance. There is nothing worse then someone being fake!

If I found out someone didn't like me I would probably start obsessing over it. I would go over ever moment with them and try to figure out what it was that I did to make them not like me. I don't like confrontation so I probably would have someone else talk to them for me and see why they don't like me. It would bug the heck out of me thinking that someone wouldn't like me so I would probably do my best to change their mind about me.

No I haven't ever had anyone tell me to my face that they didn't like me. However, there have been people I have wanted to say "I don't like you" but I'm a nice person and wouldn't come out and say that. Its just not in my nature to be nasty. If there was someone who didn't like me and I heard about it thru the grapevine then I would ask why from the person who told me. I'm guessing I really wouldn't let it bother me to much because not everyone is going to always like you no matter how nice of a person you are. There are people who just don't like people because they are either too happy, or depressing or just jealous, of them. It's a shame but this is the way people are unfortunately.

I say that I don't care what other people think, but the truth is I do, we all do to an extent. So I would be upset at first, even if i was someone I didn't like eiher, but I would learn to get over it.
