My great nephew, Liam just turned a year old. Liam's parents are my niece and her husband. His grandmother is my husband's sister.
Today, hubby's brother became a grandpa. My nephew Tyler gave me great nephew #2. His name is Briar. I don't have pics yet, but he was 6 pounds and 14 ounces (which is amazingly funny because it's what my son weighed!) and was 19 inches long. He has lots of dark hair and he and Mama are doing great.
Since I don't have pics of Briar yet, I'll add one here of Liam, since he was my first great nephew. He just had his first birthday and this pic is cute

No, not mad at anyone, just very tired.
The doc told me that my cholestoral is a bit high and I have to change my diet some - more veggies (I like them, but hardly eat any) and see if I can get it down (mind you its only 6-8 points high) but still higher than they want it.
Mind you, I've been struggling with this problem for over 20 years, each time I've managed to change my diet and get it down, but there is a big difference between my early 30's and my mid 50's.

So true. My hubby had to give in and go on medication. He was irritated at me, because like you, I was able to change my diet and get it down. But, I stopped eating anything fried hardly. He on the other hand, would go in to a restaurant and order a plate full of fried fish with french fries while I had baked fish and mashed potatoes. I told him that was the reason, and he just laughed. But then the doc put him on medication and he's irritated at me? Go figure.
Sorry you're so tired. I know it's hard for me to function when I get really tired.

They chose the name because there is a little boy that lives down the street from my brother in law and his family and his name is Briar. This little boy is crazy about Tyler (My nephew) and so they chose the name. It's not something I would have chosen but I certainly wouldn't tell my nephew and his wife that I thought the name was strange. That would be quite rude.
Have I done something to offend you? You've been awfully short, and a little snappy in your responses to my discussions today. If I have I certainly didn't mean to, and I hope that you'll forgive me.

Wow, congratulations on the new addition to your family. That's absolutely wonderful. So many people I know are either pregnant, or have just had babies, or have relatives who are pregnant or just had babies, and my cousin just had a baby girl in February. Wow! Must be osmething in the water! ;) Congratulations to you on the new addition to your family.

I know! We have two little boys in our church nursery who are 8 and 10 months old. we have a 13 month old little girl who is the great granddaughter of one of our church members and she comes occasionally. Then there is one that is expecting in August. My nephew and his wife had the one this morning and my niece on my side of the family is due in July.

Hopefully, I will be able to post pics soon! He is such a cutie. He looks like my nephews and my son. Definately got the Carpenter look. Lots of dark brown hair, big blue eyes! Cute little button nose! LOL
I haven't gotten to see him yet. I didn't go to the hospital the day he was born because I was fighting a cold, and certainly didn't want to take a chance of giving him or Jessika something!

I suppose I feel more like an aunt to them.
