Hi Kalaga, we don't get Indian food here unless I cook it myself and I really really miss it and if I had the chance to eat it again I don't think I could limit myself to just one curry, but if I really had to - excuse the spelling - bhindi baji. Okra in a rich curry sauce with tomatoes, cooked in the Indian way the okra tastes very buttery. Am I allowed poppadoms and an onion relish too, and an onion bhaji, after all the curry will need something with it.

My favorite is more of a Persian dish, the Dhansak. Most Indian restaurants here in the UK sell it though. It's a fairly hot and sour dish, similar to a Pathia, that is cooked with lentils. I also like Madras curries as Vindaloos can often have a little too much heat.

I wish I knew more about curry. I really enjoy Indian food and would like to be able to make some things at home. I have bought books but I haven't tried making anything yet and I really don't know the difference between one curry and another. I have bought seasoning before that was labeled as curry powder but I have no idea what kind it was.
