Is it wrong to brush your teeth in the Shower??? |
|
Ok - So my husband always gets annoyed at me whenever I brush my teeth in the shower..I however don't see the problem with this. You know, you wake up and you take a shower and I have a toothbruth/toopaste in the shower so what is the problem with killing two birds with one stone - you know what I meanb? So mylot friends, answer me this: Do yo ever brush your teeth in the shower?

I do not see anything wrong with it. Perhaps he has some other reasons why he gets annoyed with it. So, why not ask him again....

leyisa (308) | 6 months ago | Exactly...with the economy these days, it's good to try and save water. I have asked him why it bothers him and he says that it just seems wierd thaat I am brushing my teeth in the shower...

goodnightmoon (1975) | 6 months ago | I don't see it as saving water?! You're in the shower for longer, using more water. When I brush my teeth, at the sink, I just turn the facet on to drench the toothpaste/toothbrush then turn it off. I don't turn it back on until I'm done spitting. Do people really leave it on the whole time?! I see no logic in that!

MsTickle (8870) | 6 months ago | Thank you goodnightmoon. You other responders here...how is standing under the running shower saving water??? Or are you going to say you turn the shower off while you brush your teeth???
Think about what you are saying here. Sheesh!

leyisa (308) | 6 months ago | Haha - yes my friend, showering with someone else would definetly solve that problem;) See, I don't really think that it is a waste of water because the water is constantly on when you are in the shower anyways, right...so a bit of tooth brushign while in there seems to be okay to me...Infact, to save time, I even try to brush my teeth while shaving my legs...okay - too much info, I know:)

rdadey (331) | 6 months ago | You can do a real service and invite some neighbor's over to shower with you as well. Imagine the water that would be saved. Of course you would need o have rules, like no peeing on anyone. If you're gonna brush don't spit on anyone either. Maybe you can advertise when you'll shower and that it's an open invite. LOL.

4. cathy78513 (252) | 6 months ago | Yes I always do that. I even shampoo my hair or condition my hair while brushing my teeth in the shower. I guess there's nothing wrong with it especially when you are in a hurry of love multi tasking. But it depends if your in a shower with someone. He or she might not want to see something floating while showering.

5. barrudaki (1262) | 6 months ago | I use to brush my teeth in the shower but I have gotten away from that habit because I no longer have my own bathroom, I share the bathroom with my roommate and girlfriend. I now prefer not to brush my teeth in the same shower they use. I know we all use the same sink but I don't leave my toothbrush out on the sink like I would when I had my own bathroom, I put it in the medicine cabinet covered up.
Maybe your husband thinks it's dirty to leave your toothbrush in the shower because of all the germs or mildew that can be in the shower.

6. muscles4me (8577) | 6 months ago | It sounds gross and nasty to me. You spit it out in the shower, what if you step in it or it hits your foot. I would rather wake up a minute earlier and bruch the at the bathroom sink and the sanitizer the sink and clean the mirror if i splashed it.

leyisa (308) | 6 months ago | Hmmm... true. I cam see how it could be consider Icky...:) but I guess the way I look at it is that the water is washing everything down the drain anyways, right? and I am very careful not to get any on me or to wash it off well if I do:)

LisaHW (1511) | 6 months ago | Finally - someone who thinks it's gross!:) (Not to mention, I'm assuming, I giant waste of water)
| |
|
|
muscles4me (8577) | 6 months ago | Yep, gross is right. It would be like dumping garbage in the toilet or doing dishes in teh bathtub I guess.
| |
|
|
rdadey (331) | 6 months ago | I don't see it as being gross. Unless you spit on the walls then there's no harm with it going down the drain. Is that any different than using the sink, that goes down the drain as well. However, when we brush minuscule particles of toothpaste and saliva is flying out of your mouth and covering everything around the sink, in the shower it gets washed a way.

10. marriedman111399 (906) | 6 months ago | I have never thought of doing that but I don't see anything wrong with it, In my house we only have 1 bathroom to share with my wife and 3 kids so sometimes it is hard to do everything in there. Brushing your teeth in the shower just frees up the sink so someone else can use it. If I can't get into the bathroom to brush my teeth sometimes I go into the kitchen and use the sink there. We also wash our hair there if we don't have time to take a shower. I would keep brushing your teeth in the shower if I were you.
