I was just wondering. Do you think that some books are "men's books" and some books are "women's books?" I am thinking in particular of romance books. I don't think there are any men who read them or write them. It would be weird and kind of creepy to see a man reading a romance book. Like Twilight, isn't that always a woman's book? I think men read more adventure novels like Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum. What do you think, should men read romance novels or just women?

Yes it would be extremely creepy to see a man reading a Romance Novel.I always thought Romance novels were for women because men don't like reading about sappy emotions.Thought they preferred action manly man books where women were the prize at the end of the battle or adventure.

It is the nature of men to generally prefer action-packed stories. I am not very choosy and I did read books written by authors like Jane Austen. I believe in opening up the mind to the various facets of life.
Naturally I too have my priorities and preferences but if there is nothing else to read I do not think that there is nothing wrong in reading romance books. I have even read magazines for women.
Reading opens up the mind and generally makes a better person.
all the best in your readings,

I think that men do read Twilight. I dont think men read books like Harlequin romances though. They are not into that sort of thing. I think that there are many things that you can do and most men are not particularly interested in romance novels in my experience.

I think men read more action novels and women read more romance novels. But I wouldn´t think it´s creepy to see a man read a romance novel. And there have been many man writers that wrote the best romance novels ever. I just want to name Madame Bovary. Gustave Flaubert, the author, said once that he was Madame Bovary. Creepy? Genious? Both?
Happy posting
