What's your guilty TV secret?

Go on, everybody has one. Is there something that you love watching, but you'd never admit it to your family or friends? Are you addicted to Big Brother? Never miss an episode of teenage drama 90210, (even though you're 57)? Okay, there's nothing wrong with that really, but maybe you feel the need to hide this from the people that know you... ? Do you love those plastic surgery shows? Or programmes about fly-fishing or trains? I used to be a Big Brother addict, but the novelty wore off a few years ago. Now I'm a closet "Next Top Model" fan. I'll watch any version. So far I've seen the American, British, Canadian and Australian versions, and if they start to show equivalents from any other countries I shall no doubt be watching them too! I don't know why I love it so much. I'm not at all into fashion or make-up, shoes or bags, and the idea of buying the designer clothes that all the potential models faun over sickens me to the core. But I do find it entertaining, I suppose I like to mock some of the contestants for their values (I know, I'm bad, lol!), I love the fact that there are girls I will love and girls I will hate ( - they cast it that way I'm sure), and I like watching the interaction between all of the different characters. What's yours?

LOL, I totally have a guilty tv secret! I watch children's cartoons! Nobody knows because I am too ashamed to admit it. There is this network called Boomerang (affiliated with Cartoon Network) that plays all these cartoons that were on when I was a kid. Every morning I wake up early to watch The Snorks and The Smurfs. No lie! I could never admit that to anyone, that not only do I watch them, but I actually PLAN to watch them, I make myself wake up on time to watch them!! I feel so stupid admitting it, though...they are silly and stupid cartoons, but there is something about their innocence that reminds me of happy times when I was a kid, even though I can't usually remember the specific episodes I saw back then. It just brings me a kind of comfort to know I watched the same episodes 25 years ago when i was seven....weird I know. Don't tell anyone!

I watch way too much of this one show call Snapped. Often, they have marathons of it, and I just can't stop watching. Even though I know it's cheesy tabloid T.V. that seems to make it okay to kill your spouse if they do something bad to you. In my opinion, it's not and you should just leave and if you need help leaving you should call the police to get it. I don't know why I watch this show that's so against my belief system.

Hi friends, My guilty tv pleasure is (believe it or not), Spongebob Squarepants. I absolutely love this show and I am 48 years old. I don't even remember how I started watching it. My kids are all grown up, but somehow I managed to pick it up one day and have watched it ever since. It reminds me of the Simpson's a little bit. They say some things that only an adult would pick up on. So there, I've said it out loud. Cheryl

Good question! Yes, I like to watch movie or programs that talks about paranormal phenomena, like "Voyager", that it is a program of science, but sometimes it talk about strange things, like ghosts, like life after die and other things, or I like a movie that tal about a girl that can see the ghosts who are stiil on earth and she help them to leave this life (i don't remember the name of this movie..). But i i don't hide to my famyly that i see this things, they don't like so much because they think that i'm scared of them, but my parents not prevent me from seeing them.

I think you have mentioned about some famour TV shows which are available in your country. We do not get to see Big Brother, as it is not available in our country, however, I have heard lot about it and 2-3 seasons (read years) ago an Indian Actress Shilpa Shetty won the Big Brother in its London editions and since then she has become very famous. Keep watching and keep enjoying.

this isn't a secret really...just so out of character for me who does not watch tv. I have never been a big tv fan.I mean I am someone who maybe on a rare occassion turns the tv on to watch the news in the morning. I have at random caught something that grabbed my attention when my daughter has the tv on which is also rare. When I was caring for my mom, she watched soaps in the afternoon. I did get caught up in all my children. I only watch it 2 or 3 times a week but the fact that I watch it at all irritates me. When I was a kid, I got caught up in Dark Shadows....had to be home at that time every day and no one could call me...nothing else mattered. that went off the air...thankfully and I swore that i'd never be a slave to another tv show. Here I amm...if there is nothing going on...I'm there catching up on the silly drama of all my children which just makes me feel dumb. it is overdramatized, unrealistic....silly. Yet it grabs me.

Hi Liquorice, I don't really watch TV except for the occasional crime drama thriller or an odd documentary and last night started watching the first of a three part series Occupation but the one my family would be surprised at that I watch is in fact Time Team, my son loves watching it too and wants to go on a dig when he is older and meanwhile as we live on the Jurassic coast he spends his time looking for fossils on the beach bless. Huggles. Ellie :D

I sometime s enjoy watching fishing shows. I typed out a few paragraphs that explained why I like these shows, but the page didn't load. I think it's a sign or something. Either my computer doesn't want me to go into detail about such an embarrassing thing, or, the site just glitched on me for no good reason. Either way, I don't feel like typing up all over again. .
