Casio Exilim |
| |
| I'm very excited I've purchased digital cameras as gifts for both my daughters over the years but I never seem to spend money on things for myself. I've always been dedicated to my 35mm print camera (which takes great shots consistently) but, seeing how it's feeling more and more like a dinosaur, I have often fed my interest in photography by borrowing those cameras back from my daughters. Finally, I saw a deal I couldn't pass up and I bought one for myself. I got a Casio Exilim EX-S10. I read so many reviews and it seems like a good starting point for me. It does lack some of the stabilization I was looking for but, overall, it seemed like a good value for the sale price. Does anyone have experience with this camera? Any tips that you can offer me or anything I should know as I learn about it and use it? I can't wait to get started! LOL | | | | | |

| | For working purpose, I used Casio EX-S880 but I am not lucky after 5 month using as normal. Finally, I have crack on edge of camera cover. I already complain to them - they can not solved and very poor on service. Sorry ... Other than that, It was great camera a lot of feature and long life battery. Photo result is just enough and focusing problem with low light or macro. I prefer on Sony or Nikon pocket camera... | | | | | | |

| | Thank you so much for letting me know about this, cwachid! If there are weaknesses in construction, it's good to be aware of it so I will be doubly careful with my new camera. Your point on customer service is appreciated as well. Companies that stand by their products and customers' needs are valued. | | | |

| | Congratulations on your new camera. I was slow to go digital but what I like about using mine is how I can frame a shot as opposed to taking a photo and then cropping it later the old fashioned way. | | | | | | |

| | Thanks, Canellita! I'm hoping to have a lot of fun with this as I learn. I understand what you mean, too, as I've spent a lot of time cropping photos taken with my 35mm. And, guess what? Since this camera has movie capability, maybe I'll get one of the squirrel wars in my backyard after all, like we were discussing elsewhere. LOL!!! | | | |
