I'm going back to Australia next week, and need to buy a used car immediately. I don't know whether to go to a dealer, or buy from a private person. What would you do?
Each option has bebnefits. Firstly by buying privately, I would save a fair bbit of money. But, there is no warranty, and no guarantee of title.
If however, I buy from a dealer, he guarantees the title, and gives one year warranty. As I'm not lookinh at paying a lot of money, I think a dealer is the best option. Help me please, I'd like to hear what you think.

I think that buying for private person is much cheaper. In the other hand like you said, dealer may give you warranty for one year...
If I would buy form private person, I would make sure to have friend with me who knows cars...to avoid bad deal...
Overall, maybe dealer is the safe option...

Dealer is best. If it goes bad, you might not get your money back from a private person or find them again.

My thinking also. It may be more expensive, but it is safer.
